Thomson Reuters Tax and Accounting Professional is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their Operations teams!
The Senior DevOps Engineer position will be located in Mexico City and will provide day to day application support of the Tax & Accounting Professional on-line hosted products operating within Thomson Reuters Data Centers and Public Cloud.




Working closely with the Thomson Reuters Infrastructure, Hosting, and Network teams and local Development teams, the Senior DevOps Engineer will help ensure availability, stability and performance of Tax and Accounting Professional products.

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Thomson Reuters, you will be responsible for continually looking to optimize systems and services for security, automation, performance and availability, while ensuring solutions developed, adhere and align to architectural standards.
You will be responsible for ensuring that technology systems and related procedures adhere to organizational values.
You'll be able to deliver innovative solutions that impact our customers business every day and partner with teammates globally to develop innovative solutions for the best products in the market.

About the RoleIn this opportunity, as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer you will:




Work with a wide array of technologies to meet objectives including:Windows and Linux ServersMSSQL, MySQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL Database ServersTomcat, Apache and IIS Applications ServersZabbixJenkins or other CICD toolingSoftware deployment and lifecycle management softwarePublic and Private Cloud Technologies (AWS or Azure preferred), including CICD experience in AWS.Possess a strong troubleshooting mentality and asks questions about architecture or implementation.Participates in the implementation, deployment, and maintenance of TRTA Professional online applications and related tooling.Participate in on-call rotation.Drives efficiency and accuracy through scripting, automation, documentation,



and continual process improvement.Provides a high level of technical and subject matter expertise in one or more technologies and serves as a point of escalation for technical issues related to specialty.Produces, delivers, and maintains appropriate documentation for systems in accordance document control standards and procedures.Provides specialist support during complex and/or major incidents.May be asked to lead recovery efforts during major incidents within business unit.Collaborates with business, third party vendors, developers, application support and technical operations groups to determine appropriate hardware/software needed and to resolve any issues impacting the application processes.Identifies risks & issues and takes ownership to deliver appropriate resolutions.Performs daily tasks and ongoing projects relative to operational and application support of TRTA Professional products.
These tasks include monitoring, backup / restores, application availability, scheduled / non-scheduled maintenance, release management,



code deployment and configuration management.Responsible to seek out all information and to fully understand all aspects of each device's technology configuration and uses all approved engineering tools available to implement conforming change.Documentation of application management, configuration management, release management, systems architecture and administrative processesRecognizes design problems and errors and takes corrective action from a design perspective on the object code environment.
Interfaces with development teams on system design enhancements and the elimination of intermittent hardware/software problems.Packages company approved hardened versions of targeted operating systems.Develop and maintain self-service tooling for Development teamsWork with leadership to provide regular status reports of given project tasksAct as an escalation point for other team members to reach out to for assistance About YouYou're a fit our Senior Site Reliability Engineer roles if you have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Systems or equivalent experience4 years of experience hosting cloud native applications on the public cloudSolid Windows and/or Open Source (Linux) Systems Administration skillsetExperience with Amazon Web Services technologies including Cloud Formation, Elastic Load Balancer, Auto Scaling Groups, Route 53 and Cloud WatchExperience with Software Development Life Cycle and deployment methodologiesExperience with migrating large scale applications to the Public CloudExperience with automating systems in Python and/or PowerShellExperience with systems that connect to central storage devices, NAS or SANExperience with monitoring and alerting (DataDog preferred)Experience with containerization of microservicesExperience with building CICD pipelines (AWS preferred)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsFundamental understanding of networking technologies What's in it For You?Join us to inform the way forward with the latest AI solutions and address real-world challenges in legal, tax, compliance, and news.
