We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Project Manager
Role Purpose:
The GLCM Operations COE is part of HOST Operations and delivers a centralized operations utility for HSBC's Corporate Digital Channels (including HSBCnet, Host-to-Host Connect, and SWIFT net) supporting payments, cards, receivables, liquidity, trade, supply chain finance, custody, securities services, and money market trading solutions globally across Europe, Asia, Middle East, North and Latin America. Over 700 million payment transactions valued at over $10 USD trillion is processed through the channel annually.
The team caters to CMB and GB&M; customers of HSBC and provides service and support for the customer digital lifecycle across GLCM, GTRF, and HSS products. It spans across 5 Global Service Center (Bangalore, Hyderabad, Guangzhou, Kuala Lumpur, Krakow and Cairo) and 1 Onshore Operations Service Centre (Mexico). The COE focusses on wider business activities performed by GLCM Client Management, including Client Implementation, and Client Servicing activities.
The Client Servicing team in GSC supports Tier 1 to 3 clients on queries related to channels, payments, account services through Mails. Team also supports different type of enquiries and follow-up on amendment/ cancellations, return funds,
charge details, training, troubleshooting file upload issues, statement retrieval etc.
Main Activities:
- Plans effectively around delivery constraints and optimizes the plan to maximize benefits and minimize risk. Develops the plan within constraints, considering the delivery approach, key milestones and dependencies within the plan, requirements and scope, effort and resources, budgets, and quality.
- Plans and analyses costs, tracking operating and capital spend, and tracks reporting to financial business case commitments.
- Oversees the tracking of project/s risks/issues/dependencies, assesses the impact on the benefit realization for the project/s and takes action to minimize impact, actively challenging and removing obstacles.
- Influences and collaborates with stakeholder and delivery partners to drive the right project outcomes. Represents the project team at discussions regarding project prioritization and to create buy-in for risk mitigation and contingency plans.
- Act as a solutions leader, design architect, Programme director and strategic influencer to agree a roadmap and approach for delivery.
- Own the assignments under management, ensure high quality standards are met, chose the most appropriate lifecycle method to achieve the results whilst optimizing costs and maximizing benefits.
- Mitigate and resolve all risks and issues impacting the successful pathways and ensure all stakeholders and conflicts are successfully managed and appropriate change controls and disciplines applied to meet the wider corporate governance obligations as well as Transformation governance agreements.
- Work with IT, Finance, Strategic Planning, Audit,
Global Risk and Communications across the Bank to ensure executive buy-in to the transforming outcomes pre, during and post the Programme delivery.
- Recognize and agree priorities, contingency and mitigation to ensure outcomes not jeopardized.
- Manage all aspects of performance of your portfolio, the OT team, resources and third parties.
- Obtains sponsor and stakeholder buy in to plans, key commitments and changes against baseline as they arise.
- Obtains sponsor and stakeholder sign-off for deliverables, formally closes project, assesses stakeholder satisfaction, and captures feedback. Captures key learns from each project and feeds back into Global Transformation methodologies and best practice.
- Articulates to stakeholders the targeted benefits and takes joint responsibility for benefits realization.
- Manages the sponsor,
working with them to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Plans and manages the implementation of the change, to ensure benefits are realized and that the transition from current state to target state is smooth. Ensuring that the organization and other change audiences are ready, willing, and able to function in the new business environment.
- Works closely with delivery partners on planning, design and estimating, bringing together delivery partner teams; actively managing dependencies between these teams and other projects and programs.
Sets the pace and operating rhythm, driving a culture of achievement and ensures pace by identifying and removing barriers to project success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, Certification like PMP, Prince 2, Scrum Master, KANBAN will be added advantage.
- Knowledge of industry standards related to all project management frameworks.
- Ability to understand Migration process and translate to actions aimed at providing quick resolutions.
- Ability to resolve medium to complex queries including mitigating major risks.
- Strong stakeholder management and passionate about delivering projects on time.
- Ability to write business emails providing complete and accurate information and next steps.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Great written and communication skills in English
- Flexibility to work shifts.
Competences
- Ability to understand requirement of Migration from a project standpoint.
- Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural, and regulatory issues
- Management of stakeholders and sponsors
- Working with multiple delivery and business partner teams
