We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of
**Manager Credit Risk Review**
**Role purpose**:
Lead credit review activities by conducting offsite credit reviews of individual sites in Canada. WCRU is a dedicated second line of defense function in providing an independent and rigorous assessment of Wholesale credit risk on a continuous basis. This ongoing assessment/review by the WCRU team shall determine whether commercial credit risk is being identified, managed and reported within established guidelines.
**Main activities**:
- Primarily responsible for performing reviews to assess the design and operation of internal controls related to the management of credit risk for assigned projects/processes and to ensure appropriate governance and oversight, to assess entire credit cycle risk strategies, policies, systems and risk team capabilities in Wholesale Credit Risk.
- Participate in assignments of varying complexity. Act as Officer in Charge (OIC) for reviews of low to moderate complexity.
- Ability to write clear, concise reports as well as internal and external communication.
- Knowledge of credit risk processes, analytics and risk management practices.

- Supervise project staff to ensure that assignments are completed on a timely manner in accordance to department standards.
- Effective people skills and strong team-work behavior.

**Requirements**:
**Knowledge & Experience**
- Bachelor´s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
- MBA, MF or similar, and/or professional credentials such as CFA or CIA would be highly valued.
- 100% fluency in English (verbal and written).
- Advanced Excel and database management would be a plus.
- A minimum of three years of working experience in credit risk related fields (e.g. credit risk review, credit cycle management, relationship management and lending experience, including counterparty risk or equivalent).
- Solid knowledge/significant experience in wholesale Credit Risk.
- Knowledge of structured transactions (such as project finance, debt/equity issuances, M&A;, etc), and derivatives would be a plus.
- Strong economic and business analytic capabilities, including the ability to read and understand financial statements.
