Brightcove is looking for a talented Software Engineer in Test to join our global Engineering team, based out of Mexico. **Responsibilities**:
- Work with the development team to design and automate our testing process.
- Create & manage bug reports, communicate with the team, and verify bug fixes.
- Execute test cases and report results both directly and through automation pipelines.
- Create testing plans, both manual and automated, for new and/or existing features.
- Work collaboratively with the development team to plan delivery, manage risk, improve quality, and streamline our software deployments.
- Act as an advocate for Software Quality and the end users.
- Work with Customer Support and Account Management to respond to customer impacting issues.
**Qualifications/Experience**
- 3+ years of experience in software automation testing.
- Experience performing a broad range of testing activities, including exploratory, end to end, regression, API, and UI testing.
- Experience with backend automation testing tools.
- Comfortable working in an agile/scrum setting.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience using Postman for API testing.
- Knowledge of docker containers.
- Knowledge of Cucumber and Gatling performance tests is a plus.
- Deep expertise in writing test plans,
test cases and parsing.
- Ability to identify dependencies/risks during sprint planning
- Collaborate with other software engineers, QA engineers, product owners, and UX designers for continuous improvement of product quality.
