The LACDM Senior Financial Analyst will be play a key role in executing FP&A; activities and providing support to the overall finance organization with the development of tools, reports,
and ad hoc analysis.
FP&A; activities include month / quarter end close reviews, identifying variances vs the annual plan, annual budgeting, and supporting the overall monthly Financial Estimate/ Internal Business Planning process.
The role will also support commercial business partners by performing trade/ marketing analysis, pricing, new product launches, and other growth initiative analyses.
**Manage Financial Statements**
- Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements
- Prepare annual budget
- Schedule expenditures and analyze variances
**LACDM FP&A; support**:
- Identify and communicate the key drivers of monthly/ quarterly results to the Finance function and the commercial teams.
- Execute AOCs (Analysis Of Change) to investigate variances in the financial plan and define a course of action to correct.
- Ensure the integrity of the Financial Plan by validating that our Financial Forecasting Tools (BPC) are utilizing the correct financial assumptions including: Customer selling prices, COGs standard assumptions, investment levels, etc.
Make sure that the assumptions are complete and that all material impacts to the P&L; are considered.
- Contribute to the Integrated Reconciliation process by identifying and tracking the status of Risks and Opportunities.
- Support the Month end process by executing reconciliations against our budgets.
**Strategic & process improvement initiatives**
- Develop more efficient ways of working (Transition work to GBS, help develop self-help tools, automate processes, etc.)
- Support the SRM/ HMM processes by helping identify potential opportunities and help quantify the financial benefit.
- Maintain the regular flow of business by ensuring that the organization is following current internal processes and help formalize and define new processes where needed.
**LACDM Partnership**:
- Evaluate the financial impact related to a new product introduction and provide direction on the feasibility and financial sustainability of new launches.
- Contribute to the ideation and creation of new business strategies and course of action to bring initiatives to life.
- Ensure that controllership activities/ processes are followed by the commercial teams.
Be engaged and aware of any major developments or activities that may pose a risk from a controllership or business standpoint.
- Assist sales, marketing, and supply chain with ad hoc analysis, information, and provide a financial perspective / context to help guide decision making.
**Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed**
- Familiarity with the ins and outs of the income statement
- Proficient in Excel based tools and reports
- Expertise in navigating the ERP systems (SAP)
- Prioritize and complete multiple tasks on tight deadlines.
- Can easily identify business drivers out of financial information.
- Construct financial forecasts with a high level of accuracy.
- Can turn around quick financial analytics to provide high level guidance to business partners
**Minimum Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience, with increasing levels of responsibility (i.e.
FP&A;, business analysis, controllership) prefferred
