Role/Responsibilities
- The position offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to lead the Workplace Services Operations within the Central IT's Infrastructure Services department.
The team works closely with key business stakeholders, desktop services, product management, and engineering teams to delivery continuous service improvements and focus on strategic initiatives and major projects related to desktop services and workplace services as a whole.Scope and Impact:
- Leads teams responsible for the delivery of Workplace Services Operations, including CSI, ITAM and strategic project work.
- Relationship management and oversight of multiple partners, vendors and managed services providers, holding them accountable to service levels and deliverables.
- Responsible for operational improvement related to end-to-end Workplace Services processes.
- Liaises with regional line of business and WS management within area of responsibility.
- Acts as both the internal and external face for Workplace Services working with users, partners, and vendors.
- Provides mentoring and acts as a role-model for team members.
- Responsible for M&A; coordination for Workplace services, to include managing hardware & software requirements,
and timelines related to multiple M&A;'s running at the same time.
Job Knowledge:
- Leadership of staff, including coaching, performance evaluations, career development and training.
- Understanding and hands-on experience in work flow enhancements, M&A;'s, project management and asset Lifecyle Management.
- Knowledge of innovations and industry trends of the areas related project management and workflow efficiencies.
- Broad understanding operations management.
- The ability to learn quickly and provide concise and insightful analysis from independent research.
- Ability to analyze complex issues, determine end user impact and collaborate with relevant teams on a resolution.
Decision Making Authority:
- Responsible for growth and development of team including assigning tasks and setting goals and priorities.
- Defines policies, procedures, standards,
and guidelines along with senior team members, technology and business groups.
- Creates RFP's, creates timelines related to, discovery, deployments and communications plans.
- Works with other teams for continuous improvement of the overall organization.
- Evaluates and recommends HW and managed services solutions for the delivery of operational efficiencies and enhanced capabilities.
- Formulate improvements and initiatives into concise and insightful recommendations.
- Presents recommendations for resolving key and complex issues.
- Budget oversight and financial planning for areas of responsibility.
- As the hiring manager, creates job descriptions for new positions and contributes to the final decision in hiring process.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in Operations,
Technology Services, and/or Project Management.
- Experience in Infrastructure Services or closely related fields is a plus.
- Recent experience managing teams responsible for IT Projects related to operations, end user services and customer service.
- Ability to interact directly with users and key business stakeholders that do not have an IT background.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to create and give tailored presentations to a broad range of audiences, including executive management.
- Provide expert advice on areas of responsibility.
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) and, if hired, present proof of vaccination on start date, as determined by Moody's.For San Francisco positions,
