Senior Finance Analyst (Programming-Focused)Job Overview: We are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst with a strong programming focus to join our team.
Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree strongly preferred in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field (e.g., Applied Mathematics, Statistics).A Bachelor's degree is required, ideally with a background that blends finance, programming, and quantitative analysis.Technical Skills: Programming and Automation Expertise:Python Mastery: Extensive experience using Python for financial modeling, data manipulation, process automation, and large dataset management. Proficient in leveraging libraries such as Pandas, NumPy,
and SciPy to develop and optimize complex financial models and streamline data processes.Excel VBA & Macros: Expertise in creating automated workflows, custom financial models, and tools to significantly improve operational efficiency. Strong track record of designing advanced Excel macros and VBA scripts to automate repetitive tasks and enhance financial reporting.Automation in Finance: Proven ability to develop Python-based applications to automate financial reporting, model integration, and data sourcing, optimizing the finance function.Highly skilled in developing sophisticated financial models, including detailed cash flow projections, IRR, NPV, and ROI analysis for project finance applications. Experience automating key financial processes and ensuring seamless data integration across systems.Basic Financial Accounting Knowledge: Familiarity with basic financial accounting principles, such as financial statement analysis, revenue recognition, and cost allocation.A foundational understanding of accounting practices, with a focus on how they apply to renewable energy projects,
is beneficial but not a requirement.Work Experience: At least 5 years of experience in finance, data analysis, or renewable energy-related roles, with significant programming and automation expertise.Demonstrated experience building and automating complex Python-based financial applications that integrate various data sources, enhance reporting, and support critical financial decision-making processes.Proven track record in advanced Excel modeling, with a focus on automation through custom macros and VBA scripting to enhance financial analysis efficiency.Analytical & Programming Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex datasets and implement automated financial solutions using Python and Excel. Passion for streamlining financial operations and improving system efficiency through innovative automation.Proactive & Innovative:
Driven by continuous improvement, with a focus on innovating within the renewable energy sector. Adept at identifying opportunities for automation and creating scalable solutions to financial challenges.Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, especially in programming, data accuracy, and financial modeling.
