.Wood Mexico is recruiting for a Project Control Manager to join its Projects – Process and Chemical Team, focusing on engineering, procurement and construction projects in the Chemical, Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Industrial and Cement industries.

Join a culture of innovation, pushing the boundaries of what is possible to seek the best solutions for our clients.Responsibilities:Responsible for setting and implementing the local Project Control functional plan in line with the business grouping functional plan and ensure proper communication around it.Manage the Project Control function across the operating unit, which may include Planning & Scheduling, Post Tender Estimating,
Cost Management, Risk analysis, and Change control.Ensure all projects within remit comply with the set of procedures, processes, guidelines, and templates defined at the BU/global level.Identify and audit high-risk projects across the portfolio, propose corrective actions or axes of improvement, and ensure follow-up.Integrate new or updated global/BU procedures, processes, guidelines, and templates into local documentation.Ensure local business unit/project procedures issued are compliant with global standards.Drive continuous improvement and collect good practices across projects, communicating them across the wider business.Identify current and future staffing needs for the function and implement appropriate internal and external resourcing plans, including internal development and succession planning.Ensure robust organization and communication of resource availability inside the operating unit and across other operating units.Responsible for recruitment and selection, performance management, skill development,
and competency assurance for project controls resources within the designated operating unit.Participate in the global project controls community of practice.Ensure project control systems are implemented and embedded in line with global strategy, taking a lead role on systems training.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in relevant field; preferred Master's degree.At least 12 years of relevant professional experience.Advanced level of expertise across all disciplines of project controls, typically gained through significant industry experience, including experience leading and managing others.Good understanding of Project Management principles and techniques.Excellent understanding of Project Control principles and techniques.Fully conversant with manual and computerized business control applications and processes.Project experience relevant to area of responsibility.Excellent understanding of Cost Control, Estimating, Change control, Risk analysis, and Planning.Experience in driving results and influencing change.Authorized to work permanently in Mexico, without sponsorship.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.Fluent in English, especially in technical and business communications
