The Service Center Technician supports both our customer's test equipment as well as our demo equipment.
The preferred location for this position is Mexico City.
This position will report to the National Sales Manager for Mexico.Essential Job FunctionsDiagnose and Troubleshoot Issues: Handle general inquiries and resolve common mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures using established procedures.
Perform routine troubleshooting, parts replacement,
and system testing to ensure proper functionality.Repair and Maintenance: Conduct and document repairs, preventive maintenance, and technical services on OMICRON products.
Ensure all work meets company and industry standards.Calibration and Quality Assurance: Perform calibrations of electrical test equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Utilize calibration equipment, follow calibration procedures, and maintain accurate calibration records.Technical Support & Customer Interaction: Provide technical guidance and assistance to customers regarding product issues, maintenance, and best practices.
Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical problems.Inventory and Equipment Management: Maintain an organized and up-to-date inventory of spare parts, tools, and testing equipment.
Ensure all equipment is properly stored, calibrated, and in working condition.Process Improvement & Documentation: Continuously review and refine service procedures to enhance efficiency and quality.
Accurately document service activities, including repairs,
troubleshooting steps, and test results, in the company's system.Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesUnderstanding of electronics repair and maintenance principles.Familiarity with electrical testing equipment, calibration techniques, and troubleshooting procedures.Experience with diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical documentation.Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical, hardware, and software failures.Competency in performing calibrations and verifying equipment performance.Proficiency in disassembling, repairing, and reassembling electronic devices.Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams.Ability to accurately document repairs, maintenance activities, and test results.Capability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines.Familiarity with diagnostic software,
inventory management systems, and standard office applications (e.G., Microsoft Office, ERP systems).Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.Capacity to work independently as well as within a team environment
