Who You Will Work WithReporting to the APLA Controller, this role is a critical finance partner for the NIKE LatAm territories and APLA geography.
You will lead and guide the territory controlling teams and have interactions with all LatAm functions, working closely with the LatAm Financial Planning team and the LatAm CFO.Who We Are Looking ForAs the LatAm Controller for NIKE APLA Controlling, you will drive influential and collaborative relationships with cross-functional business partners to deliver informed business decisions, process excellence, optimized financial control, and financial statement accuracy related to the operating results and financial position of the LatAm territories within the APLA Controlling team.
In this role,



you will report directly to the APLA Controller and lead teams based in Mexico City, Mexico, and Sao Paulo, Brazil.What You Will Work OnDetailed oversight over end-to-end NIKE LatAm's Financial Statements across all Controlling Value StreamsConnect NIKE LatAm's business strategies and priorities to the financial statement implications, including informing forecasts and business decisionsManage the monthly financial statement close process according to US GAAPProvide proper review & approval structure for internal controls over financial reportingExternal Audit & Transfer Pricing Analyses support and oversightIdentify & drive process improvement opportunitiesSupport for the NIKE LatAm's finance team on daily activitiesSupport Geo / Global initiatives (policies updates, internal controls refresh, etc.
)Drive compliance of processes, transactions,



and balances with accounting and finance policiesDrive investment in renovating sub-optimal processes through automationAbility to make decisions using technical accounting knowledge and/or Nike Controlling best practicesYou will bring:A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related functions & Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or the equivalent, is requiredExperience with ERP accounting and finance systems such as SAP is requiredExperience with a Fortune 500/multinational consumer products company is strongly preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills & a proven ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience, including meeting facilitation and presentations with the senior leadership team.
Fluent in both English and Spanish preferredHigh standards for quality and advanced ability to handle multiple, competing priorities and requestsTransformative, process-oriented,
