A leading company in the commercial cooling and freezing industry, with over 35 years of experience, is seeking to incorporate a Regional Financial Manager into its organization.
This company has been supplying reliable products and profitable solutions to fulfill the requirements of customers for commercial cooling and freezing of foods and beverages across various regions.
Operating in multiple countries worldwide, the company has over 200 employees across 15 countries, with warehouses in various strategic locations ensuring a vast stock availability to meet demand.
With more than 10,000 customers in 100 countries and 200,000 units sold yearly, the company is a market leader creating value through insight, empathy, and experience.
The Regional Financial Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the entities in Spain and the Czech Republic, providing crucial financial services to enhance the group's overall performance.
Based in Barcelona, we are looking for a: REGIONAL FINANCIAL MANAGER (Spain and Czech Republic) (m/w/d) He/ she will report directly to the company's CFO and support the sales and supply chain activities while ensuring efficient cross-functional and cross-border cooperation as well as safeguarding and implementing Group policies and procedures.
Collaborating closely with the managing directors at the subsidiaries, he / she will have full ownership and responsibility for local accounting and controlling: Handle local and Group GAAP compliance.
Ensure timely month-end and annual accounting.
Manage financial reporting and planning as well as VAT and Intrastat, tax and local transfer pricing documentation.
Function as the local contact for banks, auditors, and public institutions.
Ensure legal compliance within GDPR, insurance policies,
whistleblower, and ESG documentation.
Work closely with the Group Credit Management team to ensure efficient and timely cash collection and minimize Group credit risk without the loss of sales.
Profile: He/she preferably has a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, economics, and/or business.
He/she speaks and writes English fluently (and Spanish) and has experience from a similar position: Ensure timely and correct financial management.
Provide financial and commercial support and advice.
Coordinate the annual budgeting and planning process.
Critically evaluate business performance and strive to continuously improve business processes.
Provide a leadership role in the management of business profitability.
Review KPIs and work with local management to improve the underlying drivers of these.
Extend monthly management accounts and produce meaningful performance reports and analyses of the profitability of the business.
Ensure timely and correct financial reports to the CFO in relation to forecasts, monthly accounts, annual accounts, cash flow optimization, etc.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of weekly, monthly, and annual financial statements.
Prepare monthly company management accounts, forecasts, and key performance indicators.
Maintain accounting and internal controls in line with group and externally accepted practice.
Manage key balance sheet components, including cash, sales and purchase ledgers, and asset registers.
Maintain contact with financial partners, auditing, and public authorities.
Handle the annual statutory audit and any necessary corporate, sales, or social tax audits.
Lead, manage,
and develop the finance team (1 person in Spain and 2 persons in Czech Republic).
Preferably, he/she has worked in companies with commercial organization and stock control.
He/she brings a strong toolbox in accounting and financial reporting and has well-developed business acumen.
He/she is a super user of Office products and has a solid understanding of establishing efficient IT-supported solutions.
He/she preferably has experience with Business Central and Power BI.
He / she can expect approximately 60 travel days a year, where he / she will engage in close collaboration with key stakeholders in Czech Republic, Spain, and with team members across the Group.
He / She will join a dynamic international finance team and be a key player where he / she led the finance and controlling activities in our subsidiaries in the Czech Republic and Spain.
Here, the local accountants will be reporting directly to him / her.
