Global Workplace Finance Manager

This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

The Global Workplace Finance Manager partners with the GW Leaders to ensure that the strategies are operationally supported and strategically focused to secure the greatest return on investment for the company.

This position handles Financial Lease Administration, Financial Due Diligence, Financial Audit/Reporting and Special Projects. Mainly responsible for the oversight of the accounting and reporting related to Real Estate Services’ lease transactions, including managing staff and system resources to ensure team goals are achieved, this visible role oversees the lease management, tenancy audit and payment processes relating to all HPE facilities operating leases.

Gathers financial data and performs financial analyses and reporting to influence decisions within the business and to drive cross-business initiatives.

Drives the forecasting process (weekly, monthly, and long term)



ensuring alignment with business- and corporate-wide objectives. Communicates and drives adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organization's financial goals and policies. Has the fiduciary responsibility to represent financial results correctly both internally and externally. Ensures strong business controls.

Applies expert subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving most complex business/technical issues within established policies. Manages activities of exempt individual contributors (typically Expert/Master). Has accountability for a large multi-department area(s) or location(s) with significant impact on business unit results and organizational strategy. Acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall policies and long-term goals of the organization.



Staff members' primary focus is on either high-end tactical or broad strategic issues or a combination of both. Recruits and supports development of direct staff members. Position typically reports to Director.

How you will make your mark:

- Manages a team of exempt individual contributors that support GW worldwide

- Responsible for hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that the proper tools are in place to support the team and the processes.

- Leads complex financial analysis, exercising a strong understanding of the business to determine the best method for achieving objectives.

- Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and analysis to the business.

- Consults with business leaders to drive and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope (e.g.,



long-term business planning, balancing risk, etc.)

- Proactively drives process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact globally.

- Actively reviews, analyses, and manages the key controls within the domain of responsibility to ensure compliance with legal and accounting requirements (e.g., GAAP, SBC, AFM).

- Provides leadership during implementation of business-wide programs

About you:

- First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree and/or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) strongly preferred.

- Typically, 10+ years of experience in a finance function.

- Typically, 2+ years of supervisory and/or leading a project team experience.

- Nice to have real state and lease accounting experience.

- Superior understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
