About this role: This position focuses on driving results to ensure the company can effectively deploy its experts in the sales and customer service (SCS) domains.
The SCS team presents to market the most comprehensive strategic and technologic expertise in the sales and customer service areas.
We provide advice and decision-making tools to heads of sales and customer service to organizations globally.
In partnership with the group's leadership team, this Sr Project Manager role will enhance the strategic prioritization and operational effectiveness of the growing SCS group.
The position will lead and execute a wide range of initiatives that drive higher client and Gartner value.
What you will do: The Sr Project Manager,



Research & Advisory is responsible for three categories of activities: Project and Change Management: Helping to ensure we run a focused operation at scale, leading projects to intended milestones on time.
This includes managing group and company-wide initiatives, working closely with Corporate HR, Data, Operations and Finance Partners to best execute and drive continuous improvement.
Data Reporting and Analysis: Supporting the group to meet its operational objectives by developing analysis of customer, financial, and operational metrics to identify strategic priorities and prioritized improvements.
Leadership Enablement: Supporting senior leadership to make and execute better decisions that drive client and Gartner value and ensuring that projects and initiatives are completed on time and deliver anticipated business value.
A successful candidate must be able to do the following: Project and Change Management: Lead effective group and company-wide projects,



in collaboration with team leadership and internal corporate teams focused on all aspects of team performance and growth.
Become fluent in the major principles of leading a group at Gartner, spanning the creation of world-leading insights and tools, delivering actionable advice and maintaining a healthy performance culture for 100+ acknowledged sales and customer service experts.
Own multi-year change management projects to launch and reinforce projects to tackle our most urgent challenges.
Support the group leadership to regularly track progress against these objectives.
Work independently and solve self-identified obstacles.
Data Reporting and Analysis: Make sense of quantitative and qualitative information from multiple sources to perform necessary analysis, framing, so the team can prioritize focus and work.
Communicate performance updates regularly.
Hold leaders to their plans to improve metrics.




This includes content reporting, financials, client interaction reporting, and reporting on individual performance.
Leadership Enablement: Increase group leadership team productivity, transparency and accountability, including collaborating with teams inside and outside the group (e.g., HR, Strategy, Operations, data and BI) to ensure the collection, sharing, implementation, and adoption of relevant processes, frameworks, dashboards, and systems.
Help establish the operational calendar for the year.
Ensure that the two parallel research creation planning schedules are built and held to annually.
Improve bandwidth and effectiveness of senior leadership and (where needed) partner with senior leadership's direct reports on their strategic and tactical issues (e.g., role and product analysis, KI mapping, product launches, staffing modeling,



new hire requisitions, agenda management, etc.)
What you will need: The candidate must have a proven track record of strong management – of clients, content creation, and/or people – and a proven ability to execute, both with and without positional authority.
Qualifications include: 5+ years' experience working within operations, consulting, commercial operations, or general business or project management roles.
Demonstrated analytical capabilities and data-driven decision-making.
Experience in tracking to benchmarks and continuous improvement.
Experience with project and program management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Deep knowledge of Gartner processes and strategy.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is USD - USD.
Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
