Job Title: QRO Campus Customs Specialist
Location: North America (NAM)
Department: GSC NAM Transportation and Customs
Reports to: NAM Customs, Sr Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a Customs Specialist - Queretaro Campus, part of our Schneider Electric Mexico Maquiladoras Portfolio. Your efforts will be essential in driving efficiency, compliance and fostering innovation within our customs processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ramp Up of new factories running the import-export operation and documentation at lowest costs and in compliance.
- Follow legal dispositions and applicable global standardized operational procedures by Trade Compliance and manufacturing site.
- Close collaboration with Center of Excellence to maximize benefits and strict control of IMMEX certification and temporal balances.
- Ensure data base integrity and robust controls of the temporal fixed assets importations.
- Implement a solid operational procedure for physical and digital record keeping and ensure quality of information such as HTS, Valuation, Origin.
- On time delivery according to plant requirements as well as new projects, production lines transference, determination of the status of the imports, temporal and permanent.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, trade compliance programs, and international shipping practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail, time sensitive task completions and strong organizational skills.
- Fluent in Spanish and advanced level of English is required.
- Advanced software literacy (Excel / Access / PowerPoint / SAP / Intrade),
- Background inside in Manufacturing Industry, Customs, Logistics and International Trade as competitive advantage.
- Expertise in data management,
reporting and consolidation.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in international business, logistics, lawyer, supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a related field
- Position will have Power of Attorney limited to attend International Trade matters.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, PMP, Green/Black Belt) are a plus.
• +6y previous experience in customs compliance / operations, working for consulting firm, project management or logistics is often preferred.
