Overview:
DevTech is seeking a Deputy Chief of Party for an anticipated USAID/Mexico Southern Mexico Generating Employment and Sustainability Activity (SURGES).
The program seeks to increase the sales and market linkages for selected value chains in the Southern states of Oaxaca and Chiapas.
**Responsibilities**:
The DCOP, as requested by the COP, will also represent the Activity before a range of audiences and in a variety of platforms, at the national and subnational levels.
The DCOP will ensure all actions and interventions adhere to USAID policies and DevTech operational guidance and align with global best practices, including the training of staff as required.
Finally, the DCOP will also keep the COP regularly informed on all Activity matters, and assist the COP in meeting various technical, governmental, company, and USAID deliverables as requested.
Qualifications:
**Minimum Qualifications**:
- BA or MA in Finance, Business, Economics, Public Administration, or other relevant areas.
- At least 8 years of demonstrated professional experience working on international development projects
- Familiarity with USAID rules and regulations including FAR procedures and AIDARs, contractual compliance,
and grants management.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience working in Mexico.
- Demonstrated ability to work with local government experts and deliver on their operational and financial needs in compliance with USAID rules and regulations.
- Familiarity with USAID grants-under-contract
- Prior DCOP experience.
