**Title**:Regional Security Manager

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Manages the security function, including security systems integration, asset protection, asset recovery, personnel protection, and investigations for a defined regional area (may cover multiple countries).
Regional responsibilities will also include managing, developing and consulting on new security programs.
Supervises a group of security professionals.




**What Skills You Need**:

- Supervises and directs John Deere Worldwide regional security interests in handling major security issues such as bomb threats, labor disputes, criminal and ethical violations, workplace violence situations, kidnappings and crisis management situations.
- Provides professional expertise in its area of responsibility for internal and external investigations including but not limited to major/complex security breaches often resulting in substantial losses or significant business or political impact for the enterprise.
This includes monitoring performance of contract security or private investigative agencies.
- Provides regional oversight and strategic direction to contract security providers as well as John Deere units to ensure the proper security of physical assets, proprietary information,



employees and visitors.
- Implements auditing standards for security, on a regional level to coordinate with enterprise initiatives.
- Develops and oversees regional personal protection assignments and services for special events such as Board of Director's Meetings, executive protection, product shows, visiting dignitaries, as well as other major events.
- Maintains close liaison with law enforcement agencies and criminal justice prosecutors, and other government agencies.
- Provides assistance to emergency management preparedness and coordinates this effort with units and facilities.
**What Makes You Stand Out**:

- Knowledge about security systems integration, CCTV, access control and physical security related technical information.
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies.




- Knowledge of executive protection strategies and traveler safety.
- Knowledge about current criminal and civil laws and procedures at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Legal knowledge and understanding.
- Knowledge in investigative procedures and interviewing techniques.
- Knowledge about security, and information at the local, state, and national levels for various electronic systems.
- Specialized knowledge of the criminal justice agencies processes and procedures.
**Education**:

- Formal education or training required to perform the essential functions of the job.
Includes degrees, certifications, licenses and/or registration requirements.
- Degree in a Business/Management discipline or equivalent experience.
- University Degree (4 years or equivalent).
- Degree in a Security discipline or equivalent experience.

**Relevant Work Experiences**:

- Type and amount of experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
May include specific roles and/or an understanding of a particular function, organization, industry or product line.
- Law enforcement (especially in the investigations and/or management areas), private security, or specialized military training (4 - 7 years).
- Experience managing multi-units or subset of a division.
- Intra-company security related experience helpful (4 - 7 years).
