Ecommerce Digital Marketing & Content Manager (Fully Remote) Role Overview We are a fast-growing e-commerce company seeking a Performance-Driven Content Marketing Manager to lead our digital content and growth marketing strategy.
In this role, you will blend content strategy with digital marketing tactics to drive online growth, improve conversion rates, and increase customer retention.
This is a senior role with leadership potential and a fast-tracked career growth path – ideal for a Senior Digital Content Strategist or Growth Marketing & Content Lead looking to take the next step.
The position is fully remote ,
and we have a strong preference for candidates based in Africa or Eastern Europe (though all talented candidates are encouraged to apply).
Key Responsibilities Content & Ecommerce Strategy: Develop and execute an ecommerce content strategy that drives traffic, engagement, and sales.
Oversee all digital content initiatives (website, blog, product descriptions, landing pages) to ensure they align with our growth marketing goals.
Digital Marketing Campaigns: Plan and manage cross-channel digital marketing campaigns, including SEO-driven content, email marketing automation, and coordination with paid media (PPC, social ads).
Ensure content and messaging are optimized for conversion across all channels.
SEO & CRO Optimization: Improve search engine rankings and organic traffic through on-page SEO and content optimization.
Use Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) techniques to increase conversion rates on key pages and user funnels.
Performance & Paid Media Integration: Work closely with the performance marketing team to integrate content with paid acquisition strategies.
Leverage content in performance marketing campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram Ads) to boost ROI and user engagement.
Email & Retention Marketing: Own the email marketing strategy, including newsletter content and automated drip campaigns, to improve customer retention and lifetime value.
Use personalization and segmentation to increase open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
Analytics & KPI Tracking: Define and track key KPIs such as conversion rates, customer acquisition cost, retention rate, engagement metrics, and revenue impact of content.
Use Google Analytics and other tools to derive insights and continuously improve content performance.
Leadership & Collaboration: Collaborate across teams (Design, Product, Sales) to ensure a consistent brand voice and message.
Mentor junior content creators or contractors and take initiative to lead new content marketing projects.

Qualifications & Skills Experience: 3+ years in digital marketing, content marketing, or growth marketing roles.
Proven experience developing content strategies that drive online growth (e.g.
increased web traffic, conversions, or sales).
Experience in e-commerce or SaaS is a major plus.
Marketing Skills: Solid understanding of SEO best practices, keyword research, and on-page optimization.
Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo) and marketing automation workflows.
Familiarity with managing or collaborating on PPC and paid social campaigns is highly valued.
Analytics & CRO: Proficient with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console) and A/B testing for CRO.
Data-driven mindset – comfortable analyzing metrics and refining strategies based on insights to meet KPIs.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to craft compelling content and copy that aligns with brand voice and converts readers into customers.
Leadership & Drive: Self-motivated and proactive, with a track record of taking ownership of projects.
Demonstrated leadership potential or experience managing content/marketing initiatives is highly valued, as this role offers growth into a team lead or managerial position.
Remote Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
Strong organizational skills, accountability,
and familiarity with remote collaboration tools (Slack, Trello, etc.).
Based in Africa or Eastern Europe preferred (for time zone alignment), but open to strong candidates from anywhere.
What We Offer Competitive Compensation: Base salary of €35,000–€40,000 per year (depending on experience), plus performance-based bonuses and a P&L; (profit & loss) share based on results – your success drives your earnings.
