Role summary: This role acts as a business compliance officer, supporting the Netherlands jurisdiction and is responsible for carrying out day-to-day compliance work for the business taking into account local regulatory requirements.
The Business Compliance Officer will act as the intermediary between the Client teams and the Compliance department and will take responsibility for the teams in relation to the follow-up and quality of the compliance information delivered to the Compliance Department (second line of defence).
The Business Compliance Officer forms part of the first line of defence within Link and will report to the Managing Director/Business Head.
Competently carrying out its duties in a professional manner and in accordance with regulatory requirements, service levels and company standards to meet the business expectations, with the support of other members of the team, when required.




Training on Dutch regulations (WTT, WWFT) together with support from Dutch local team will be provided.
Key responsibilities: Department To set-up and monitor timelines for reviews and submissions to the Compliance department; To support the client teams with various types of reports and other documents; To monitor action points within the client teams and take care of follow-up whenever necessary; To draw up Client Acceptance Files and Reviews (in consultation with the Corporate Officer/Financial Officer responsible); To monitor the process for client acceptance and reviews, identify and mitigate compliance risks; To follow up outstanding Compliance items (whether or not in consultation with the client); To enter outstanding items into Millogic system and keep Millogic up-to-date; To monitor filing by the client teams and check whether filing is up-to-date on a regular basis; To identify Feeders and update Feeder file; To inform the Compliance department about progress/compliance issues on a regular basis; To contribute to and monitor the maintenance of high-quality standards.
General Team performance & development : take ownership for own performance and skill development.
Where relevant, assist with mentoring/guidance of less experienced colleagues, providing input/feedback into appraisals where required.
Managing change : actively participate in change, carry out any assigned tasks within the given time frame.
Be aware how own activity supports and contributes to a process of change management, advise/plan accordingly.
Leadership: understand and contribute to achieving the vision set out by CS&PCs; leaders.
Look for opportunities to lead within direct team.
Work collaboratively within team and wider CS&PCs.;
Link knowledge : have a good understanding of core CS&PCs;/Link/Group business structures, processes, management and disciplines.
Autonomously identify knowledge gaps and rectify.
Advise more junior members of the team.
Technical knowledge : autonomously identify and develop technical knowledge relevant to job role.
Share knowledge gained.
Business knowledge : good knowledge required on key issues in own business area.
Basic knowledge required of other CS&PCs; propositions.
Relationship management : build effective relationships within own team,



identify and engage with key individuals/contacts within wider CS&PCs;/Link.
If client facing, build relationships with intermediaries, third parties and identify key client contacts so as to be seen as the first point of contact.
Influencing: achieve specific outcomes with stakeholders by building consensus and resolve conflict.
Data integrity/reporting : take responsibility for quality and accuracy of own data.
Mandatory training : complete all mandatory training as per the training calendar and actively remind others to do so.
Policies and procedures : autonomously and proactively ensure knowledge of and compliance with Link policies and procedures and keep up to date with amendments.
Risk: ensure that all weaknesses/incidents identified in relation to service delivery/internal processes are reported to a Manager,



recorded and appropriate actions are implemented.
Legal & regulatory : have achieved and maintain an understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Verbal communication & presentation : present ideas effectively, using appropriate language and tone.
May present 1:1, in small or large Groups, where appropriate may present to other areas within CS&PCs; or to a small number of external clients.
Written communication : autonomously produce consistent, high-quality work.
For external clients, where required, use approved procedures and complete in accordance with SLA's.
Skills / experience: HBO/ WO level; Certified Compliance Officer Training; Approx.
4 years+ relevant experience within the trust; Good inter-personal skills including oral and written communication; Motivated, reliable,



decisive and persuasive; Good organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to identify compliance risks and provide advice to mitigate risks; Committed team player with a pro-active, international, pragmatic, result-oriented attitude.
