**Cntrl & Rpt Analyst**
**Which is the main objective of this role?**
- The North America Shared Services (NASS)
**Accounting Services Control & Reporting Associate Accountant role** will be located in Plano and responsible for supporting Global Research and Development (R&D;), PLCI and Global Procurement horizontal organizations through accounting, analysis, and reporting of each period’s close activities reporting to a Control and Reporting Associate Manager.- Process period journal entries in accordance with period calendar deadlines.- Review CAR’s up to $100K for R&D; and provide control sign off.- Process capitalizations and asset adjustments for R&D.-; On a period basis, identify significant variances, research and document explanations. Summarize and communicate findings to management for period close analytics. Conduct close calls with Finance Managers.
**What will you be doing?**- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for PGRE real estate leases and A&M; accounts and presents to ASG Sr. Manager and ASG Sr. Director every period- Deliver timely and accurate period financial reporting packages including variance comments and compiling pre and post close slides. Conduct period close calls.- Validate, approve and release projects for spend during Annual Operating Plan (AOP) also execute billing tie-out to plan for each horizontal at the beginning of the year.- Review and prepare/process period journal entries such as prepaids, accruals, and cross charges to domestic and international sectors are in accordance with period calendar deadlines.- Ensure all spending (capital and expense) and support complies with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and PepsiCo policies.- Reviews are completed for capital spend and timely capitalizations of projects
**Qualifications**
**Who are we looking for?**- English advanced
- Experience in general accounting (4 years)
- Analysis of financial information. Management of SAP module GL-FI-CO. Microsoft Office Advanced. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Vizio)- Strong accounting knowledge/ability to understand and reconcile financial data.- Ability to exercise sound independent judgment and make decisions autonomously.- Thorough understanding of GAAP.- Comprehensive understanding of PepsiCo’s accounting policies.- Provides insights into business performance and drive functional alignment.- Effectively communicates and provides insights to cross functional teams.
