Hiring now a **Manufacturing Engineer III **based in **Tijuana, Baja California.
**
**How You'll Help us Connect The World**:
The Staff Test Engineer is responsible for the development and implementation of the production test strategy in their assigned functional areas.
Primary responsibilities for this position include functional test development and test support for specific tests as needed in the test process including the areas of Board Functional test, Unit Functional test, and/or Systems Test.
The Staff Test Engineer will work closely with the both the Development and Program Management Teams to ensure that new products are properly tested and will assist in the transition of new products from Engineering into Manufacturing.
The Staff Test Engineer is responsible for the delivery of the hardware and software needed to test the product.
Test solutions provided will be delivered to both internal and external company manufacturing operations and must be detailed accordingly.
The Staff Test Engineer also makes technical contributions to the Manufacturing Test Requirements Document (MTR)
for the product to ensure product functionality is tested appropriately in the Manufacturing environment.
The Staff Test Engineer participates in the transition of new products from Engineering to Manufacturing and will continue to support and analyze product and test performance during the life of the product.
The Staff Test Engineer is also responsible for ensuring the appropriate test solution is deployed in Repair and Return.
**Essential functions.
**:
- An excellent understanding of DFT and circuit testability issues.
Capable of providing guidance to Engineering Design Teams to increase module testability of new products.
- Capable of developing and implementing an overall product test process and philosophy as well as providing input on existing test processes.
- Product test technology development and implementation.
- Verifies that the product functionality meets design intent.
- Global test asset utilization throughout product life cycle.
Global capital asset management for capacity, cost, and flexibility at contract manufacture facilities.
- Training all manufacturing locations on test platform operation and maintenance, product testing procedures, product functionality, and diagnostic routines.
- Diagnosis and solution of product yield and test time issues.
Support product repair process test requirements.
- Ensures that IT tools and development support test platforms technical requirements for data management and test result recording be met
- Assists in developing and administering annual department plans and budgets that are consistent with the business needs of the company.
- Ensures that design validation test reports that are generated by the group are error free and informative.
- Assists in transition of new products from Engineering into Manufacturing.
- Collect test data; perform analysis and retention on all final test data.
- Develops production documentation including work instructions, test specifications, and calibration procedures.
- Ensure that all critical criteria in testing are reflected in production documentation.
Maintains databases as needed.

Troubleshoots manufacturing issues with the NPI Team.
This may include improvements to test efficiency, supplier quality issues or manufacturing quality.
- Improves test software, hardware, and methodologies.
- Designs and Develop Test Hardware and Software where applicable.
- Attend design review meetings as required.
- Trains manufacturing personnel in test procedures.
- Knowledgeable of production principles of Six Sigma and JIT manufacturing
- Experienced with developing Gage R&R; tests for test acceptance.
**Required Qualifications for Consideration**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering preferred.
- 3+ Years related Engineering experience in a manufacturing test environment.
- LabVIEW knowledge with demonstrated ability with Lab-view and Test-stand preferred.
- RF technical knowledge advantageous but not critical
- Experience working with Access Tech, CMTS or another IP based system functionality.
- Ability to problem solve using analytical, creative and critical thinking methods.
