We are currently seeking a Cost Engineer, reporting directly to Planner Manager to join our team based in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.
**About the Job**
Estimates total project cost at completion for complex projects.
Develops,
updates and maintains project budget and forecasting.
Leads all cost control activities within a project, operational role.
Your main missions and responsibilities will be to:
Sets up Cost Control Procedures
Sets up Budgets and the specific tool to follow the project costs
Estimates Total Forecasts, Quantity / Costs and Expected Outcomes
Provides support to the Risk Manager to prepare the Quantitative Risk Analysis
Approves commitment control and vendor/subcontractors invoice
Assists Project Managers in optimizing and improving the budgeted profits
Prepares change orders / claims, and follows up
Generates monthly internal Project Management Review (PMR) / external status reports (client reports)
Develops cash flows on monthly basis
Develops statistical and close-out reports, with a view towards improving feedback data and estimation tools on future contracts / proposals
Complies with and implements both company and client HSE Management System objectives and procedures, as well as Quality standards and policies, and other applicable company procedures

**About You**
We'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 5 to 7 years of experience in related field
- Professional English
- Knowledge of cost control tools and methodologies
- Solid analytical and problem solving skills
- Establish good relationship and cooperation with colleagues in the project team
Experiences in: EPCI or Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) Projects.
Works autonomously even on complex projects, (only Engineering projects/ phases scope; type of contract: Lumpsum less than 500 million USD or reimbursable)
