Senior CNC Programmer Engineer (Special Process Specialist)
Develop and support new manufacturing processes for large aerospace parts (aluminum alloys) in 5-axis horizontal & vertical CNC machines using Catia V5. Provide support to different departments such as operations, quality, tooling, and planning. Knowledge of forming processes for aluminum alloys like roll forming, stretch wrap, check and straightening, and heat treatment of aluminum alloys is essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Create and support new CNC programs for new products on 4 and 5-axis horizontal and vertical machines.
2. Understand G code.
3. Lead projects and high complexity tasks.
4. Design and create new holding systems.
5.
Analyze and conceptualize plans; support other departments.
6. Conduct RCCA analysis; solve internal and external quality problems.
7. Create tool and engineering changes; support the robust FA system.
8. Select technology tools; create tooling 3D models.
Qualifications:
1. Professional degree: Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering.
2. 7+ years of experience in manufacturing & machining processes.
3. Experience in CATIA V5 design & programming.
4. Understanding of GD&T; application.
5. Experience with Fanuc, Siemens & Heidenhain controls.
6. Ability to read G & M codes.
7. Postprocessor knowledge; ICAM and IMS preferred.
8. Emulation knowledge; Vericut preferred.
9. Develop CNC machining processes.
10. Select high-performance cutting tools; calculate feed & speed considering HP.
11. Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions.
12. Develop CNC programs for stretch wrap (extrusions).
13. Heat treatment experience of aluminum alloys (annealing, quenching & aging).
14. English spoken and written (80%).
