The opportunity
We are looking for Consultants with expertise in Payroll to join the People Consulting team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a leading global professional services organization whilst being instrumental in the growth of the People Consulting team.
Your key responsibilities:
1. Leverage experience in payroll domain to deliver Payroll and HR transformation projects for global clients, in collaboration with other GDS teams and other EY member firms.
2. Support vendor assessment and payroll analytics projects for global clients.
3. Design payroll delivery options (consolidation of multiple payrolls, vendor advisory, shared service center development, use of technology to generate efficiencies), and payroll transition management.
4. Review current processes to identify key metrics to evaluate operational performance compared to internal performance objectives and Payroll industry leading practices benchmarks.
5. Support development of RFP/proposals for different accounts and opportunities.
6.
Work on global client projects as part of a global distributed team. Ensure quality of all work outputs, timeliness, and accuracy of content.
7. Be recognized as a subject matter expert in one or more areas in the Payroll domain.
8. Support development of thought leadership, collateral, tools, techniques, methodologies to enhance payroll advisory and broader capability offering within the practice.
9. Drive effective client communication, cadence and build relations with client and project team counterparts across global locations.
10. Ensure to obtain excellent feedback from the client and global project counterparts.

To qualify for the role, you must have:
1. 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in the consulting domain.
2. Master’s degree in Finance/HR or full-time MBA.
3. Experience in delivering payroll implementation and transformation programs, as part of a global distributed team.
4. Good understanding of one or more payroll technology systems – ADP, PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
1. Strong technical knowledge of end-to-end payroll process.
2. Analytical abilities and knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
3. Expertise in process mapping and documentation using Visio and other tools.
4. Expertise in creating SOP,
process documentation, and work instructions.
5. Actively involved in end-to-end Payroll implementation and transformation programs.
6. Exposure to workforce transformation programs enabled by technology.
7. Experience in policy review, current payroll assessments, vendor selections, designing payroll processes and strategies at a global level, global payroll implementation support.
8. Hands-on experience in payroll automation projects and RPA.
9. Experience and working knowledge of one or more global payroll platforms such as ADP (Global View, WorkForce Now), SAP, Workday, Oracle/PeopleSoft products.
10. FPC/CPP/PMP and other payroll-related certifications will be an added advantage.
11. Experience of working with the global payroll vendors such as ADP, RAMCO, etc.
