THE ROLE:
The Program Management Analyst is responsible to drive cross-functional teams to achieve Project delivery with the use of relevant product/program knowledge, communication, people skills, and process expertise. Will be responsible to guide multidisciplinary teams through complex situations, report back to management and ensure Engineering Milestones and Gateways are met within timing and deliverable thresholds.
Require having a strategic and global approach to keep a broader view of the business while serving as liaison between multiple Projects.
YOUR IMPACT:
Depending on the scale of the Program, the Program Management Analyst will have responsibilities on one, several or all the areas described below:
1. PLANNING (Targets & Content)
- Update program assumptions as required. Define Local Markets Unique Content.
- Author Product Direction Letters.
- Lead resolution of cross-functional cost, quality and timing attribute conflicts and drive consensus with target delivery.
- Identify Localization Opportunities and Communicate Local Content Requirement & Assure Proper Tracking.
- Manage Product Development Milestone Program Review Process, coordinate program input for Senior Management Global and/or Regional Reviews.
- Resolve Systemic and Cross-Functional non-Engineering Team issues.
- Marketing and Press Launch (co-lead with Marketing): Provide Program Information (e.g., Vehicle Content, Papers, Events) - Owner's Guide, Brochure, Features & Website Content; Support Launch Interface with Technical Community.
- Coordinate Resource Management Process.
- Co-ordinate Cross-functional Resource planning/deployment in Joint Venture. Define overall Program Management Roles & Responsibilities.
2. CONTROL (Timing & Deliverables)
- Develop Program level workplans & recovery plans, track program progress & critical path (all plants/regions).
- Coordinate input and generate weekly Program Health Chart Metrics for Senior Management.
- Manage and Coordinate Global and Regional Program Governance Meetings for reporting.
- Manage and control Program Team collaboration sites and resources (& interface to IT to ensure infrastructure supports team) for Global and Regional operations. Incl security/access issues and process.
- Co-lead the overall Sourcing Process with Purchasing.
- Lead Change Management Process.
- Manage approved Cost Reduction and Quality improvement actions.
- Track Engineering release activities.
- Coordinate Complexity Management.
- Co-lead Production Capacity Planning.
3. STUDIO (Appearance Process)
- Lead Appearance Process Management, driving issues to closure to meet design deliverables in conjunction with Engineering and Design teams.
- Lead cross-functional or cross-attribute Issue resolution for Design Feasibility Issues.
- Lead Marketing and revenue related Issue resolution for Studio Requests.
- Assist Design/Attributes/Engineering with Studio Attribute Checkbook process.
- Lead Appearance Approval Review & Color Harmony Process for all appearance vehicle components.
- Write Color and Materials Product Definition Letter for approved vehicle material, color, textures, and gloss selections.
- Lead Resolution on Launch Appearance Related Issues (Color, Grain, Gloss etc.).
- Establish and conduct Color Harmony Team meetings.
4. PROTOTYPES (Planning/Builds) and LAUNCH (Pre-Production & Assembly Process)
- Prototype Total Program Planning with Physical Prototype Engineering.
- Tracking Prototype tool plan development to support builds.
- Support prototype Health chart process.
- Support Prototype builds issues process binning & reporting.
- Support Prototype Readiness Reviews with senior management.
- Track prototype part ordering / validation metrics.
- Coordinate Product Development Team related launch logistics.
- Lead coordination of input from Launch Readiness reviews.
- Lead Global and/or Regional Change Management Meetings and process.
- Ensure Engineering data sign off all parts prior to prototype and pre-production builds.
- Ensure adequate Engineering support for Manufacturing, Supplier / Manufacturing Quality issues.
- Manage Executive Champions process (High Impact Supplier list).
