**We are searching for the best talent for Government Affairs & Policy Sr Director to be in Mexico City**
Reporting to the Vice President, Government Affairs& Policy for Latin America, the Government Affairs & Policy Sr. Director for Mexico is responsible for proactively assessing, influencing, and shaping the rapidly evolving policy environment in close collaboration and partnering with internal stakeholders across the businesses.
The role will shape public policy and contribute to market development, growth strategies, and market access, delivering value for the business, developing, and driving innovative initiatives, and strengthening corporate reputation among policymakers and key external stakeholders.
**Major Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Develop strategies and innovative approaches to shape public policy and strengthening corporate reputation including mapping major policy trends and identifying opportunities and risks for the businesses; provide analysis and recommendations for action,



both on the policy and business fronts exercising a business partnering role.
- Guides other colleagues through consultation, mentoring, and collaborative leadership to build depth of capability, and provides functional (matrix/indirect) supervision.
- Develop solid, comprehensive, and actionable advocacy plans to advance business priorities; ensure proper alignment with the business and coordinate with other functions, such as Legal, Medical Affairs, Health Economics, Regulatory Affairs, and Access. Utilize project management tools, risk and resource analyses, and/or stakeholder feedback. Active single point of contact w/consulting firms regarding advocacy plans, ensuring compliance and with internal policies.
- Develop high-quality briefing materials, talking points, and presentations, both in Spanish and English.




- Take on leadership positions at trade associations and relevant organizations to ensure that J&J;’s business interests are taken into full consideration. Support GMs at industry trade associations and other organizations, providing insights and strategy recommendations.
- Meet with high-level government officials and members of Congress; deliver J&J;´s view on policy matters.
- Coordinate external engagements and relationships for the supply chain manufacturing site of MedTech Juarez and serve as the primary point of contact for government officials, regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other external partners, ensuring alignment with the site's goals and objectives.
- Build advocacy alliances and coalitions with relevant stakeholders.




- Maintain a network of relationships with think tanks and leading opinion leaders in the field of health care and public health.
- Represent J&J; at public forums, events, and seminars.
**Qualifications**:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. Advance degree(s) in related field desirable.
- A minimum of 10-12 years of experience in a business-related discipline dealing with issues that are of legal or political significance is required.
- Experience which leads to a thorough understanding of J&J;'s organization structure, business interests, and product lines is desirable.
- Familiarity and knowledge of legislature process, politics of Mexico and elected officials is desirable.
- Experience in healthcare reimbursement is desirable.
- Outstanding leadership skills
- Executive presence with the ability to quickly establish credibility across all levels of the business and with external stakeholders.
