Context:
Sanofi is implementing an ambitious plan called "DRIVE" complementing our Play to Win Strategy with 3 main objectives (I) keep fueling our pipeline (II) make Sanofi a modern science-driven healthcare company (III) serving our patients.
In this context, Sanofi made the decision to evolve its commercial model from GBU-specific country organizations to a more standardized and consistent approach, boosting efficiency.
The MCO focus will be on a cross-GBUs efficiency model with optimized country set-up.
Purpose:
The Head of Legal LatAm will be responsible for LatAm MCO and the country where He/She is located (dual hatting responsibility).
**Responsibilities**:
The Head of Legal LatAm will provide first-rate legal advice and support to Sanofi operations in LatAm, working in collaboration with business operations and corporate functions at MCO level.
He/She will:
- Anticipates issues proactively and manages risks strategically.
- Evaluates and weighs multiple inputs and impacts of decisions.
- Contributes to the elaboration and implementation of business strategy, and ensures active contribution to transactions, partnerships, and projects.
- Hands-on approach to identify proactive solutions that manage risks and serves as a creative problem solver for complex challenges, very often at speed.
- Deals with significant matters that cut across legal and related areas.
- Show strong passion to understand the Sanofi business strategy across the MCO, building trustful relationships with its key stakeholders while connecting global and local realities.
- Leads,
inspires and develops a team of approximately 12 professionals and partners with other LEBI teams across the organization, driven by building and developing agile, diverse and inclusive teams.
- He/She acts as "Reference Board" to country lawyers, giving the needed empowerment and accountability on key complex legal assessments / projects / litigation and organizational matters.
About you
Education and experience required:
- Law Degree and Extensive pharma legal experience.
- Solid knowledge of pharma regulations.
- Solid experience in identifying and dealing with complex business issues, conflicting interests and providing qualified legal advice to senior management as a business owner and partner.
- Abreast with main internal and external trends thanks to constant interaction with key stakeholders, Pharma Associations,
and other relevant bodies.
- Excellent working proficiency in English.
