**_Job Summary_**
Temporary personnel to support Indirect Tax compliance and its transition to companies which has bought Eaton business in Mexico. The obligation to provide post-sale services occurs after signing up Indirect Tax TSA while the buyer creates capability and capacity to receive Indirect Tax activities.
In addition to the above, these temporary personnel have the responsibility to review, monitor, adjust and follow up recovery of Eaton's favorable VAT balances that were left without proper validation (herein after backlog) to full fill Tax Authority audits or VAT refunds claims.
The backlog was generated as consequence of prioritizing the response to exhaustive request by Mexican Tax Authority and affectations derived by Covid-19 pandemic, which causes slowness due to the low availability of resources in supporting areas which helps on the validation process performed by the indirect taxes team.
**_Job Responsibilities_**
- Collect information necessary for the preparation of VAT calculations and informative returns, preparation of the calculation and informative returns, review of calculations and informative returns,
- Entry of the returns in the portal of the tax administration service, monitoring the payment of tax on time and form and finally the file and archiving of the working papers and statements generated from this process.
- Training on the processes implemented for the compliance and recovery of Indirect Taxes when required, either for the sale of businesses.
- The responsibilities for supporting reviews of balances in favor not properly validated consist of:
- Prepare reviews of balances in favor of VAT of Eaton companies that did not have this adequately.
The review consists of validating the correct determination of the VAT and the VAT withheld generated in accordance with the scope described in the ""VAT Refunds"" process implemented by Eaton for all companies that generate balances in favor of VAT. This with the aim of recovering the balances in favor of VAT and eliminating any economic impact in the event of a review by the tax authorities.
- In addition to the above, the validation consists of analyzing documentation and fiscal compliance of the operations, determining adjustments derived from the findings in the review, managing authorizations of these, entering complementary statements, entering requests for a favorable balance before the competent authority, answering requirements additional information from the authority and follow up until the resolution of the return process

- Education level required:_
- Experience and/or Degree in tax and accounting.
- Years and area of experience required: _
- 1-to-2-year Experience in Mexican Value Added Tax is desirable, but not a must have.
- Technical knowledge:_
- Basic English communication skills are required
- Excellent skills in Excel is necessary
- SAP/Oracle experience would be desirable
