Key Responsibilities
The Quality Engineer is responsible for managing and validating QAF systems throughout all programs build phases.
This role ensures quality compliance, root cause analysis, and validation of electrical and mechanical components, working closely with crossfunctional teams including HMI, Corporate Quality, Supplier Quality SQ, and Perceived Quality.
The engineer will develop test procedures, perform vehicle and bench testing, support vehicle builds activities, and lead issue resolution efforts to ensure highquality validation outputs and meet customer functional objectives.
Oversee and manage Quality Assurance Fixtures QAF at all programs build phases.
Assemble, validate, and troubleshoot QAF systems as needed.
Coordinate activities with HMI, Corporate Quality, Supplier Quality, and Perceived Quality teams.
Collaborate with Release Engineers and suppliers to ensure compliance of all released components.
Develop and execute test procedures, vehicle and bench tests, and validation protocols.
Conduct advanced root cause analysis and lead resolution of complex connectivity and functional issues.
Organize tactical meetings with crossfunctional teams to resolve critical quality concerns.
Review specifications and test cases early in the development cycle to enhance validation accuracy.
Support vehicles build activities, characterizing issues found during fleet tests and assembly plant reviews.
Lead validation activities, including Design Verification Plan Report DVPR execution, development trips, and plant manufacturing reviews.
Benchmark competitive vehicles, document emerging issues, and drive issue resolution.
Maintain lessons learned databases and contribute to crossvehicle technology clubs.
Validate electrical and EV functional objectives, including
Electrified powertrain, infotainment, connectivity, autonomous driving, body electronics,
and vehicle security systems.
Braking, steering, suspension, underbody clearance, disabled vehicle recovery, and trailer tow functions.
Environmental intrusion, exterior lighting, wipewash systems, closures, and vehicle recovery systems.
Provide findings and recommendations to senior leadership based on validation results.
