and changing needs of today's cloud-oriented, modern enterprise.Our Identity Security Cloud team is looking for a well-rounded Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a focus on backend development.
A successful SDET should have excellent troubleshooting skills, experience writing automation tests, creating extensive test cases, and be able to ensure that processes and products consistently meet established quality standards.
We are looking for someone capable of driving several projects to completion from a QA perspective and a skilled technician that can also serve as a mentor to the team.Responsibilities include:Designing automation testing best practices, quality standards & processes.Manual testing of backend applications.Assisting engineers in the creation of automation tests.Maintaining healthy automation testing pipelines.Delivering recommendations on evolving testing best practices within the organization.Requirements:5+ years of experience in quality engineering and developing test automation frameworks.Proficient in Java and testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Mockito.Experience in TypeScript / JavaScript preferred.Proficient in writing test cases for verification of web applications.Experience writing Contract tests with tools like Pact, Postman, Cypress.Experience with testing REST APIs in a microservice environment.Experience with AWS and testing SaaS applications.Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL data stores.Familiarity with observability tools such as Kibana and Datadog.Familiarity with setting up Synthetic monitoring or similar means of simulating user behavior on live services.Familiarity with Jenkins, Cloudbees, and CI/CD workflows.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience planning and executing multi-sprint tasks using tools such as Jira and Confluence.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.What success looks like in the role:Within the first 30 days you will:Onboard into your new role and get familiar with our product offering and technology.Proactively meet peers and stakeholders, set up your test and development environment
