Cybersecurity Engineer- Firewall & Network SecurityAt The Home Depot, we are dedicated to providing a secure, scalable, and efficient environment for our customers, associates, and IT infrastructure.
As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our security posture by ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our systems and data.

and staying up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.Key Responsibilities:Review & Approve Change Requests: Evaluate internal and external modification or change requests related to security configurations, ensuring proper risk assessment, compliance, and security standards.Firewall & Network Security: Manage and configure enterprise-level firewalls and cloud firewalls (including Palo Alto, GCP, and Azure security configurations) to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.Cloud Security: Implement and optimize security strategies for GCP and Azure environments, ensuring the security of cloud-based infrastructure and services.Proxy & Gateway Security: Oversee and optimize proxy routers, switches, and McAfee gateway proxies, enhancing threat protection and performance for network traffic filtering and secure access.Security Monitoring: Use security tools to monitor for threats, conduct vulnerability assessments, and respond to incidents effectively.Documentation & Collaboration: Develop clear,
actionable security documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices into business operations and processes.Qualifications:Experience:5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on firewall management, cloud security, network security, and threat management.Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, McAfee gateway proxies, routers, switches, and cloud security configurations for GCP & Azure.Certifications:CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or other relevant cybersecurity certifications are preferred.Additional certifications in networking or cybersecurity (CompTIA Security+, CCSP, or similar) are highly desirable.Strong understanding of network protocols, security frameworks, and the latest cybersecurity threats and mitigation techniques.Experience with security appliances, proxies,
and endpoint protection solutions.Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot security incidents across a wide array of environments, including cloud and on-premise infrastructure.Ability to review, assess, and make recommendations on change requests and security modifications
