**CT Ops & Supp - Inventory Lead**:
**Rank: Assistant Director**:

The Inventory lead is a key position within CT Operations and Support, having overall responsibility for the accuracy and quality of CT Ops and Support Inventory.
The primary measure of success for this role will be an up-to-date and accurate data repository for all the IT services/products we operate and support for our clients.
This will include the processes and toolset capabilities required to achieve this.
In addition to providing excellent central IT support, the Inventory Lead has a broader remit which encompasses developing our relationships with the different support teams within CT and ET, and our internal business stakeholders.

**The opportunity**:
- Deliver reliable, best in class support services in a manner that meets our contractual obligations and delights our customers and clients, through working hand in hand with our vendors proving the Inventory capability
- Ensure all concerns and escalations regarding the Inventory are all addressed in a timely manner to ensure a satisfactory outcome
- Driving and improving the performance of the Inventory to meet ever increasing business demand, requirements, and the use of world leading channels into the Inventory
- Contributing to senior management and leadership forums for CT Operations and Support and contribute to the IT strategy.
- Identify and help implementing new and continually evolving ITSM functionality
- Producing MI and managing budgets
- Reviewing processes, tools, and technology to ensure optimum delivery capability
- Ensuring a focus on continuous improvement
- Ensure appropriate governance and control is in place for the different source systems
- Investigate equipment or software under consideration to find out ROI and total cost of ownership throughout the product lifecycle.
- Monitor and investigate trends in company spending and inventory control to make recommendations for the future, and to identify areas for possible savings and/or asset optimization.
- Monitor the accuracy of software and hardware serial numbers or identification tags in the configuration management system (CMS) and ensure information is up-to-date, accurate, and auditable.
- Perform inventories and usage monitoring of all IT assets and record all findings, changes, and physical location.
- Effectively communicate IT asset management policies, processes and work guidance to IT support teams, stakeholders, and team members in a timely and clear fashion.
- Investigate and resolve exceptions and accuracy issues of the CMS repository.
**Your key responsibilities**:
- Day to day operational accountability for the Inventory across CT Ops and Support
- Develop innovative solutions to problems without precedent.
- Anticipate operational, program, implementation issues and develop detailed recommendations on preventative measures
- Software asset compliance and utilization.
- Accuracy and completeness of Inventory records.
- Increased use of automated service management tools to drive process efficiency.
**Skills and attributes for success**:
- Demonstrable experience in a similar IT role.
- Strong analytical track record; Solid working knowledge of data processing and analysis
- Understanding of billing and budgeting processes.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Experience in the use of ITSM tools, particularly ServiceNow, is advantageous.
- Experience in managing internal software compliance and vendor audits.
**To qualify for the role, you must have**:
- Have experience in Inventory management (IT assets)
- Have experience working with global IT Service Providers
- Have exceptional customer service skills and strong commercial awareness
- Formal accreditation in ITIL v3 and/or IT Asset Management
**Ideally, you'll also have**:
- A degree in Computer Science / Engineering and/or a business-related degree
