We are currently seeking a QA Manual Level 5 to join our team in CDMX, Ciudad de México (MX-CMX), Mexico (MX).
Position's General Duties and Tasks:
- Conduct complex audits to determine compliance with the Quality Assurance Program.
- Responsible for working with QA Architects and supports strategic ownership and "hands-on" design, implementation, and delivery of large-scale or significantly difficult software testing solutions that have a long-term impact on testing a product, technology or architecture.
- Leads the test automation implementation of the organization for the entire value stream,
working across teams within the organization ensuring Software Development Engineers in Test and Quality Assurance Engineers are adhering to best practices, defined standards and are aligned to the organizations standards and methodology.
- Encourage innovation with new technologies and elegant solutions.
Advocate technical direction, define best practices and principles and onboard new team members.
- Be accountable for the quality of the products, systems, and solutions created and delivered by the value stream.
- Analyze problems, take corrective action to prevent recurrence and evaluates its effectiveness.
- Communicate corrective action to customers as required.
- Review customers request for changes for Quality Assurance activities against the Quality Assurance standards.
Provides input or collaborate with QA manager/ director to find resolution.
- Create, review and disseminate sprint and release level metrics.
- Coordinate end-to-end testing with 20+ QA scrum teams.
- Ensure down-stream and up-stream risks are communicated, documented and mitigated.
- Use Jira on day-to-day basis to manage testing artifacts,
test execution and defect management for the entire value stream.
- Review test cases to ensure robustness and coverage, review execution completion, develop and track action plan for any risks and their mitigation during test execution.
- Support go-live activities such as production verification, post-production issues, review closure report and overall status.
- Ensure conformance to performance optimization, interoperability standards and requirements.
- Deliver on commitments and manage software development services to accomplish the assigned work.
- Maintain project delivery timeliness and budgets.
- Perform functional testing with different browsers, tablets and phones.
- Communicate with project managers to define test strategy, scope, and evaluate test results followed by reporting and metrics.
- Maintain documentation on QA standards,
processes and changes.
- Lead an Agile value stream of 20+ QA engineering teams focused on the Software Development
- Responsible for successful execution and informing team and managers of obstacles, issues and risks.
- Participate in design discussions and technical meetings.
- Conduct occasional field testing.
- Perform work under limited supervision.
- Mentor and train team members in Quality standards.
**Qualifications**:
Must have Skills:
- Handle moderate to complex issues and problems, and works with high-level staff on more complex issues.
- Create test strategies, test plans and test cases for large scale products.
Approve test plans and test strategies for junior QA Engineers.
- Lead root cause and defect resolution for all production issues with special focus on high-impacting defects.
- Contribute heavily to the production defect resolution process.
May work with QA teams on internal audit needs.
- Efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of our products.
- Peer review test cases.
- Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution.
- Interpret, report testing results and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process.
- Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented.
- Write and execute advanced SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data.
- Perform onboarding knowledge transfer and training for all new staff members.
- Ensure QA processes adhere to quality standards.
- Participate in daily standup, calls and timely escalation of critical and severe bugs.
- Facilitate and manage defect triage.
