We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Third Party Engage Manager
**Role Purpose**
Reporting to the Head of Digital Operations, Vendor Management has responsibility for managing either one or a portfolio vendor relationship,
depending on vendor size.
**Principal Accountabilities**
- Execution of the necessary sampling, checking and oversight of the bank’s vendor management requirements in line with the Vendor Risk Management Policy Framework, including sampling employee vetting and sampling anti-bribery procedures
- Achieve the required local due diligence checks, where not covered at a global or regional level.
- Primary interface for physical site visits to vendor premises to understand the business and verify the necessary controls are in place.
- Collaborate with Procurement to ensure that, upon contract expiry, an appropriate renewal (or re-procurement) strategy exists and is executed, obtaining the agreement of Procurement Boards as necessary.
Point of escalation for exceptional non-performance, escalating issues of underperformance, process, or failings of due diligence to the vendors to protect the bank’s exposure to risk.
Requirements
- Advanced English (mandatory)
- Strong understanding of the vendor’s business,
including major changes in their financial position and customer base
- Strong organizational, planning and management skills.
- Strong business and commercial awareness.
**Experience**
- 5 years proven credit policy and/or credit risk management/analytics experience, or equivalent. Strong knowledge and understanding of financial services preferred.
- High degree of expertise and knowledge in relation to vendor or facilities management within a real estate context
- High degree of expertise and knowledge in relation to analysis of vendor businesses including finances and customer base
- Strong awareness and understanding of HSBCs internal control and operational risk environment.
- Demonstrated results in managing a medium portfolio of vendors / supplier base.
- Demonstrated experience in managing vendor and stakeholder issues.
- Demonstrated results in delivering successful risk management and control processes across multiple functions.
