Summary:
The USAID Office in Mission in Mexico is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for a Financial Assistant position.
The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)

**Duties**:
The Financial Assistant provides financial and administrative support to the Mission and has responsibilities for several key office support functions. The job holder facilitates the value-added tax (VAT) recovery process for Mission operational and programmatic activities, serves as main timekeeper for all Mission personnel, maintains accurate and current vendor data within USAID systems,



coordinates host-country reporting requirements on behalf of implementing partners, and collaborates with interagency colleagues in the fulfillment of the Mission's day-to-day activities.
The job holder reports directly to the Supervisory Financial Analyst.

**Qualifications and Evaluations**:
- Requirements:
Physical Demands: The work requested does not involve undue physical demands.
Post Entry Training: On-the-job and formal coursework training to master USAID’s organizational structure, policies, rules and procedures, and operations, as well as those specifically related to strategic planning, program budgeting, and in special program areas related to assigned duties as available, warranted, or required.
- Education Requirements:
**Education**:Minimum two years of college or university studies is required. (50% of credits).

**Experience**: At least three years of finance, budget and/or administration experience is required.
**Job Knowledge**: A general overall knowledge of office administrative functions and financial functions. (This may be tested).
**Skills**: Customer service oriented, positive attitude, and able to maintain effective relationships between staff, management and implementing partners. Discrete when dealing with sensitive financial matters. Ability to work under pressure, able to multi-task, and thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office. (This may be tested).
**Language:
**Good Working Knowledge of English. (This may be tested).
Fluent Spanish. (This may be tested).
