**OPEN POSITION**
**Offshore Project Lead Electrical Engineer**
Mexico City, Full time
- Responsible for ensuring a robust through life design of the offshore project's electrical systems.
- Responsible for specification and evaluation of electrical equipment.
- Responsible for grid code compliance and interconnection requirements.
- Provide engineering technical support for power system modelling and studies.
- Support development of engineering processes and procedures.
- Manage engineering contractors' delivery of engineering studies, reports, analysis, and engineering documents
- A strong focus on interface topics, for example in the substations between offshore platforms, interdisciplinary interfaces, control room, etc.
- Develop the electrical design criteria and specifications related to HV/MV/LV
Switchgears, Power and Distribution transformers, Busducts, AC and DC UPS,
VFDs, HV/LV Cables, PMS System, E-house Packages, Bulk Materials and other discipline packages.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering.
- 5+ years' experience directly working on offshore energy (including power generation, transmission) projects.
- Experience as an Offshore Lead Electrical Engineer or a similar role in the maritime or oil and gas industry.
- Electrical system engineering: power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
- Strong writing and communication skills (Fluent in spoken and written English)
Relevant professional experience
- Experience in Offshore Oil and Gas, Offshore Wind, or other large engineering infrastructure projects.
- Familiar with industry codes and standards applicable to offshore Oil and Gas projects.
Knowledge of NOM, IEEE, IEC, NEC standards and guidelines.
- Knowledge of Power system studies and modeling such as Load Flow, Short circuit, Motor starting, Harmonics, Arc flash and Transient stability study,
Protection coordination and relay.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and control systems in an offshore environment.
- Familiarity with offshore safety regulations and practices for electrical systems.
- A track record of successful electrical projects and upgrades in an offshore setting.
