Our HR Services Function is looking for a Regional Human Resources & Payroll Operations Lead reporting into the Head of HR Services for the Global HR Services Department.
You will be responsible to manage and oversee the payroll and HR services as Regional Lead for LATAM.
The candidate will have regional expertise and oversight and is responsible for complex matters that may require regulatory, legal or compliance steer.
The Glencore entities in the region are based in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru.
The role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organisation skills,



and the ability to handle sensitive information with absolute discretion.
The individual will be based in a Glencore office within the region.
The startup phase may require travel in country as well as potential visits to the headquarters in Switzerland or the UK.

The Role: Payroll Management Champion the Global Payroll model and global approach to payroll across the LATAM region, supporting and enabling the HR Hub delivery resources to:Ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll input to the outsourced payroll provider (TMF)Validate and approve payroll outputEnsure accurate submissions are made for Social Insurance and other statutory requirementsMonitor funding / banking processesMonitor integrations and escalate issuesHandle payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptlyChampion and embed new ways of workingPayroll regulatory oversight for the LATAM HR Services Support the HR Hub delivery resources to maintain employee records, including in Workday and e-filing, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality Compliance and Reporting Ensure compliance with local labour laws,



tax regulations, and company policies.Prepare and submit required reports to government authorities and internal stakeholders.Stay updated on changes in labour laws and payroll regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant.Conduct internal audits and collaborate with external auditors as needed. Process Improvement Work with wider HR Services and Payroll team to identify opportunities to streamline HR and payroll processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.Implement best practices and leverage HR technology to improve overall operations.Participate in HR projects and initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of HR services. Qualifications: Degree or equivalent qualification in HR, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in HR and payroll management,



preferably in a multinational companyIn-depth knowledge of relevant labour laws, social insurance regulations and payroll tax requirements is soughtProficiency in Workday as an end user is advantageousExperience of working with an outsourced payroll vendor is advantageousAble to manage complex, ad-hoc solutions based on business need with a 'fix-it' mentality Key Skills: Language: Fluent linguistic competence in English (required) and other relevant LATAM languages such as Spanish (required) and Portuguese (advantageous)Payroll: Expertise in calculating and processing payroll accurately and efficiently.Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of local labour laws, tax regulations, and statutory benefits.Data Management: Proficiency in maintaining and updating employee records and HR databases.Technology Proficiency:



Familiarity with HR and payroll software systems, and the ability to leverage technology for process improvement.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish (required) and Portuguese (advantageous).Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and precision in handling payroll and HR tasks.Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to payroll and HR operations.
