is responsible for developing PDO for the windshield and back glass with suppliers to meet all legal and regulatory requirements for glass safety and visibility.
Responsibilities include integration of electrical features such as heated grids for backlight and forward camera heated grid, sensor farm integration, and interior mirror integration.
The DRE is also responsible for the development of HUD systems while working closely with the Electrical Engineering team.
Additionally, the DRE is responsible for IRR coatings for glass in luxury vehicle offerings and ensuring all packaging and functional objective requirements are met.The engineer needs to support meetings throughout North America work hours and work closely with local engineering teams, Architecture/Vehicle Concepts, program science teams, and PDO with iterative models to align with all packaging, functional objectives,
and system requirements.Qualifications- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited university- One year of engineering experience- Proficient in MS Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)Preferred Qualifications- Experience in setting and assessing customer (internal/external) level requirements, constructing component and full vehicle DVP&R-; Experience with defining functional objectives and constructing DFMEA- Experience with NX, Teamcenter, and change management processes- Ability to construct work plans to resolve issues- Ability to lead teams, determine gaps to targets, and develop solutions- Three years of product development experience- Experience with engineering plastic Class A components- Ability to reach consensus on complicated issues- Ability to resolve conflicting requirements across multiple organizations- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Strong computer software skillsAdditional InformationApplicants must reside and be legally authorized to work in Mexico.Seniority LevelMid-Senior levelEmployment TypeFull-timeJob FunctionConsultingIndustriesTransportation/Trucking/Railroad#J-18808-Ljbffr
