Our client has raised multiple rounds of funding from some of the largest and most reputable Venture Capital firms, including Founders Fund, Fika Ventures, and Greenspring Associates.
Our engineering team is distributed across Los Angeles, Toronto, and Latin America.
As a pioneering member of the team, your primary focus will be to help continue to build the product from the ground up.
We are looking for a motivated, self-starter who can work in a distributed team environment.
This is a hands-on role.
The day-to-day responsibilities are broad, and you will ultimately be responsible for delivering software.
**NOTE: To qualify, you need to live in or move into Guadalajara, and be ok with a hybrid work environment working in the office 2-3 days per week.

We're starting a new office in Guadalajara.
Be one of the first engineers to establish a strong engineering culture at this location.
We're using Javascript across the stack.
Our backend is in,
frontend is in and, and Apollo for the API layer.
There is greenfield development of new product modules using the latest technologies, libraries, and tools.
As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will:
- Write quality code with 80%+ code coverage, and thoroughly documented.
- Develop, support, and improve our GraphQL API.
- Build and maintain real-time, event-driven systems, services, and features.
- Create new components and improve existing components in our React component library.
- Teach and enforce documentation standards.
- Propose recommendations, build prototypes, and provide feedback.
- Work with the QA engineering team.
- Own the short-and-long term technical vision of your squad.
- Be responsible for all major technical decisions for your squad and be able to influence the decisions of your team without having to make all of them.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers within your team and others.
- Help improve the technical quality of our work through regular technical design and code reviews.
- Share your technical knowledge and expertise.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, product managers, customers, partners, and other leaders.

**Required Qualifications**
- Upper-intermediate to fluent speaking and writing.
Able to have a real-time conversation.
- +5 years of full-time hands-on software engineering experience.
- +5 years of full-time hands-on API, NODE.JS experience.
- +3 years of full-time hands-on React.js experience.
- Experience being a role model to more junior engineers as an individual contributor.
- Being able to guide the technology decisions of your squad, while contributing alongside them.
- Writing modern JavaScript/ECMAScript code that is clean, well-tested, and reusable.
- Experience in Senior Engineering roles (designing APIs, abstractions, and tools used by other engineers).
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
**Nice to Haves**
- React Native experience or being open to learning it quickly.
- Material-UI experience or being open to learning it quickly.
- Prior knowledge or ability to quickly learn developing in a CI/CD environment.
- Prior knowledge or familiarity with Python for back-end development is a plus.
- Familiarity with Jest, unit testing, debugging, profiling, and performance monitoring.
- B.S., M.S., or PhD from a top university in computer science, engineering, or related fields.
