This role will enable you to drive cost-effective, efficient solutions by managing and refining the transportation service budget for both DTNA and DVCM.
You will collaborate with leading carriers and service providers to deliver innovative, seamless inbound and outbound freight network solutions who utilize our amazing Freightliner and Western Star vehicles equipped with Daimler Truck technology.The Transportation Procurement team plays a pivotal role in ensuring that Daimler Truck's North American operations maintain a robust, competitive and cost-efficient transportation network.

we strive to optimize the logistics process and create value for the business.Indispensable Requirements (Candidates who do not meet these requirements may be discarded):Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
Ability to organize and summarize large data sets.Contractual knowledge and business acumen, involving stakeholder alignments between multiple business units.High level of inter-cultural intelligence and people skills.Transportation, Logistics and/or Purchasing experience.Knowledge of OEM vehicle manufacturing preferred / Market.Self-directed, able to operate independently with business professionalism and strong work ethic.English level: Upper Intermediate.Soft Skills:Influence and negotiation.Effective communication.Project management.Analysis and problem solving.Strategic thinking.Planning and organization.Academic Knowledge: BS/BA and prefer 2-4 years of relevant experience or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
