We are looking for a talented CUSTOMER ENGINEERING PRODUCT SPECIALIST to join our team specializing in APPLICATION ENGINEERING for our CUMMINS COMERCIALIZADORA in San Luis Potosí, SLP, México .
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Support Sales teams (factory and distribution),



ensuring that technical requirements and information are met and disseminated effectively, answering technical questions, developing presentations and serving clients and designers.
- Direct support to the distribution network, providing technical support on the characteristics, differentials and performance data of Cummins Power Generation products, both in the pre-sale and post-sale phases, providing guidance for effective, efficient and safe installation, answering technical queries, providing product information and conducting field visits.
- Accompany the technical teams of the distributors during the start-up of high-power gas and diesel generators, providing on-site assistance to secure clients and highly complex projects.
- Provide training in application engineering for both the commercial and technical areas of the distribution network, as well as for end customers and business partners, ensuring that the entire team is updated and capable of performing their functions with excellence.
To be successful in this position, you will need the following:




- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Experience in engineering of applications and/or electrical products or combustion engines. (Preferable)
- Experience in applications and installations of generating sets. (Preferable)
- Knowledge of electrical, power generation, mechanical and industrial equipment applications.
- Advanced Intermediate English.
Qualifications
Main Areas of Interaction : Sales, Distributors in LATAM, Interaction with OEMs and with other product plants.
Considerations
- Languages: Advanced English, fluid conversational.
- Travel Availability: Ability to travel and have a current visa.

Education
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant area of STEM. A related graduate degree is preferred for specific roles.
Experience
At least 3 years of experience as a senior engineer or manager in a relevant area, with a proven track record of solving technical problems and making decisions. Experience in Genset or motor applications or services, as well as power generation industries, is preferred.
