This role will partner with benefit vendors, HR partners, and the payroll team to create localized processes, work through and find constructive resolution to employee benefit matters, including providing customer service for escalated associate inquiries. This role will be responsible for providing a consistent quality of customer service resulting in client and associate satisfaction. The PA, Benefits associate will work closely with the Global Benefits team.
**What you’ll do**:
- Be knowledgeable of, and ensure adherence to all HR procedures/policies in Mexico.
Ensure that local benefit practices are compliant with - company policies, local laws and regulations.
- Coordination and management of all incoming benefits and leaves transactions
- Advise employees on all matters related to any leave of absence (maternity, paternity, etc.) and administer the leave through coordination with payroll and the Social Security office, and manager as needed.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency in all HR systems, and vendors are sent appropriate timely data regarding associate eligibility and elections
- Participate in establishing proper controls and risk mitigation on benefits-related processes pertaining to Mexico including facilitation of governance committees.
- Develop guidelines to monitor audit procedures per policy and legal guidelines. Consult with Global Benefits partners on enterprise standards
- Determine the root cause of a problem or issue and ensure timely and accurate resolution.
- Provide accurate and timely vendor reporting to ensure adherence to all service level agreements, as well as any internal Capital One reporting needs.
- Identify gaps in benefit offerings compared to market and opportunities for re-investment for under-utilized programs
- Partner with the Global Benefits team in development of local benefits strategy including key design and benchmarking principles.
- Conduct regular plan utilization analysis to determine effectiveness of associate benefits plans. Develops metrics to measure budget impacts and trends to report and develop cost management strategies.
- Leads benefits plan and policy change initiatives including annual rate renewal efforts - consulting with business, Finance and HRBP on business strategy.
- Manages the execution, education and communication of benefit programs. Prepares announcement material, booklets, and other media for communicating plans to associates.
- Supports special projects as required
**Basic Qualifications**:
- Intermediate-Advanced English fluency
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 3 years of HR experience in employment benefits operations or benefits policy in compliance with Mexican laws and regulations
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- 5+ years of HR experience in employment benefits operations or benefits policy in compliance with Mexican laws and regulations
- 2+ years of experience in a client facing or consulting role
- 1+ years of experience with Workday
- 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Office and G Suite products
- 3+ years of Project Management experience
- 1+ years of experience communicating with technical leadership and business stakeholders
- Work experience achieving results with complex projects
