We are seeking the services of a **Senior Systems Engineer, Mobility **(**Cloud 5G and vEPC**) **- CALA **to assist our international Systems Engineering team as a remote resident engineer **based in the vicinity of Mexico City, Mexico **to focus on delivering pre/post-sales engineering support for mobile products supporting our customer accounts throughout the CALA region.
The Senior Systems Engineer is a hands-on, network architect level position having significant customer facing and organizational impact as the technical voice of the customer ensuring customer requirements are developed and road mapped to Casa Systems' products involving Cloud based 5G, vEPC and Small Cell Gateway (vHeNB, vSeGW, service provider Wi-Fi (WAG, TNGF, AGF) and Cloud based virtualized solutions for the mobile market segment.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Responsible for leading technical responses for all RFX activity.
- Responsible for performing hands on engineering tasks for lab trials in accordance with schedule meeting customer expectations and company objectives.
- Work with internal management to identify, qualify, and develop mobile opportunities; deliver value proposition, sales presentations, and competitive positioning.
- Responsible for performing sales engineering pre-sales activities.
- Develop strong technical relationships within the target accounts and account teams to serve as a trusted technical advisor.
- Evangelize Casa Systems' mobility solution sets throughout the region.
- Create and develop technical white papers.
- Represent and prioritize requirements with internal solutions development and product management.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- **Able to write and speak English fluently is required in order to communicate with US HQ staff.

- Able to speak Spanish.
- Undergraduate degree in telecommunications, electrical engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline.
- Self-starter and highly motivated.
- 7+ to 10 years of related pre/post-sales systems engineering experience.
- Hands on experience and proficient technical knowledge with 3GPP GSM/GPRS/UMTS and SAE/LTE CORE technologies, Cellular IoT/M2M, FMC.
- Advanced IP internetworking knowledge (CCNP certification or above recommended).
- Combination of technical and business development acumen.
- Effectively able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of mobile ecosystem and architecture, and key business challenges facing the mobile operator community.
- Excellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of subscriber management subsystems; including but not limited to, AMF, SMF, NRF, PCF, NSSF, UDM, UDR, UPF, PCRF, HSS, OCS/OFCS, AAA, TTG/TWAG, ePDG, Security Gateways, Home eNB functions.
- Proficient experience managing Linux, KVM, Openstack, Kubernetes, Open Shift, VMWARE, Docker, Rancher based systems.
- Knowledge of service provider Wi-Fi, Small Cell Core, Security Gateway, IPSEC and other virtualization solutions.
- Familiar with Kubernetes, OCP, Docker, and Rancher platforms.
- Able and willing to travel up to 50% of the time outside of Mexico (depending on COVID and Public Health restrictions).
Holds valid documents to travel.
