Job Description
Product Managers are strategic leaders responsible for driving the development, launch, and ongoing support of a company's products.
They focus on long-term vision, market trends, and identifying new opportunities. Work closely with the Product Owner to define specific incremental improvements to be managed in different squads.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyze market trends, monitor competitors, and identify opportunities in organizational processes.
2. Support product sales or other product goals established.
3. Set ambitious and clear product vision and communicate it effectively to stakeholders, the team, and the rest of the unit.
4. End-to-end team output strategy from inception to production.
5. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure digital vision and products align with value streams.
6. Accountable for product-specific KPIs once the solution enters production and communicate regular tracking to stakeholders.
7. Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for their team.
8. Maintain a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team.
9. Work closely with the CPO to establish each product's business value and support messaging, communication,
and customer outreach as necessary.
10. Integrate usability studies and research into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction and ensure customer-driven design.
Qualifications

1. 2 to 3 years of experience in roles with similar responsibilities.
Leadership:
1. Effectively manage own time and provide visibility into ongoing work.
2. Recognize when teammates encounter difficulties in their tasks and readily offer support.
3. Demonstrate initiative by taking action without constant direction from others.
Agile:
1. Apply values of quality, response to change, and customer centricity in the way of working.
2. Work iteratively and incrementally as standard.
3. Understand the differences between agile and traditional practices and can select the best fit for context.
Design:
1.
Know good design practices (e.g., design patterns, known structures, industry solutions) that are applicable to their role.
2. Identify opportunities or issues to apply best practices.
Optimization:
1. Design solutions with performance in mind.
2. Perform proof of concept on potential solutions to assess their impact.
3. Identify performance issues in day-to-day operations and alert the team.
4. Analyze technologies or methods that have the potential to complement, improve, or optimize the solution.
5. Offer optimization solutions that positively impact metrics (e.g., turnaround or processing time, resource consumption).
Technical Tutoring:
1. Have the necessary knowledge to solve many of the technical impediments the development team encounters.
2. Know and suggest good practices, novel technologies,
and methodologies with the potential to add value to the project.
3. Promote discussions on the best ways to approach a solution.
4. Provide ongoing on-the-job coaching to junior team members.
