**Title**: Embedded Lead Test Engineer - Monterrey
**Primary Location**: Mexico (MX) - Nuevo León JD Shared Svcs-Monterrey
**Function**: Engineering (CA)
**Main Responsabilities**:
- Setup and update ETAS testbench for Next Generation Engine Control Units and implement the re-usable test scenarios in newer ECU test tool environment.
- Utilize Power Systems domain knowledge for making quality deliverables.
- Define/choose the right environment among HIL / SIL going further if need be.
- Maintain tracker sheets and project backlog.
Assign tasks based on the project priority and plan for the regression tests.
- Participate in project kick off meetings and reviews of the project deliverables like system requirement document, test vectors, sequence, and test result on regular basis.
- Communicate to the Business Units on project updates.
- Engage Non-Deere as needed and reviews their work before sending it to Business Units.
- Communicate with JDPS stakeholders for thorough planning of required deliverables.
- Mentor new engineers and contingents to perform HIL testing on ETAS testbench.
Also provide domain knowledge to prepare for FY product priorities set by Business Leadership.
- Work on various project planner for JDPS stakeholders to keep track of progress against the test schedule:
- Target vs Assigned work
- Effort required vs Tasks
- Risk Analysis and Mitigation Plan
- Maximize utilization of test assets - HIL simulators & tools, Utilization of Labs and Infrastructure to accommodate growth and support expertise development.
- Gap closure study for all new or transitioned program; share the data to management for their review
- Ensuring up and running test infra., future ready test setups and well-designed wiring harness.
- Help train the new team members on technicality and JDPS domain expertise.
- Work with team to review their efforts and to support in debugging/Execution/defect management and customer communication.
**What Skills You Need**:
- 5 to 8 years of work experience on Embedded Software testing in MIL, SIL & HIL.
- Proficient English skills (direct contact with multi cultural teams)
- HIL systems exposure (ETAS, NI, dspace) in the Automotive Domain (Software PV&V;)
- Expertise in MIL(Model in Loop), SIL(Software in Loop) & HIL(hardware in Loop) testing
- Embedded Software Development/Testing for automotive engine controllers and displays
- Experience in planning and execution using Agile methodology (Rally Tool)
- Good programming skills in Python, MatLab Simulink, Cosym, Control desk
- Exposure to Communication Protocols like RS 232, I2C, SPI, CAN J1939, ISOBUS
- Experience in Integration Testing (Jenkins/GitHub)
- Well versed with test automation tools like ECU Test, Automation desk, TestStand (National Instruments) NI, Vector Tools
- Understanding of Real Time Simulation environment
- Well versed with software quality metrics
- Good interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
- Global teams work exposure

- Bachelors or Masters in Electronics, Electronics & Electrical, Instrumentation, Automotive Engineering or Computers or Equivalent
