Covia is looking for a dynamic **Sr Project Engineer** who will have a positive impact on the Engineering team at its **Monterrey N.L.
corporate office**.
As a Sr Project Engineer, you will have an opportunity to direct, overseeing and supporting project execution; including involvement in the engineering, bid process, budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, reporting, and invoicing.




The successful incumbent will have the following Key Accountabilities:

- Establish and safely implement project plans to include scope, schedules, budgets, required drawings/schematics/manuals, procurement of equipment and components, startup/commissioning, training, handover, accounts payable, accounts receivable, project reporting and other required project related administrative tasks.
- Ensure all internal customer start-up/commissioning, training and handover activities are properly conducted, documented, transmitted and signed-off by all appropriate parties.
- Identify, document and manage all project Out-of-Scope and/or Change Order items to ensure mutual resolution of costs and billings
- Conduct frequent project reviews with stakeholders and management.
- Prepare project scope of work and cost estimates.




The successful incumbent will have the following Minimum Qualifications:
**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Mechanical, Mechatronic preferred)
- >7 years of demonstrated experience in managing capital projects (> $2 MM) in the Mining, Oil and Gas, aggregates or other Heavy Industrial
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Fluent in English both in written and verbal language.
- Willingness to travel (80%).
**Knowledge, Skills And Abilities**:

- Project Management
- Experience with material handling, installation and start-up of conveyors, screens, crushers, wash systems, etc is preferred.
- Ability to develop project scope of work and cost estimates.
- Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written)
- Ability to develop structural and mechanical general arrangement drawings,



to include steel and foundations
- Ability to read blueprints and provide oversight for steel fabrication and erection
- Understanding of industrial equipment and controls
- Computer skills in MS office suite, MS Project, AutoCad (drafting programs)
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs;, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, layout drawings and similar
- Excellent analytical skills in providing optimum engineering solutions.
- Ability to work with multiple disciplinary projects.
Sets high standards for self and others, builds trust and takes accountability.
**Travel Requirements**:
Up to 80% of time traveling out of Monterrey
