Job Title: Independent Verification Analyst (IVA)Job Summary: The IVA role is tasked with performing independent assessments and verifications of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data and reports.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of ESG disclosures with established standards and regulations.
The analyst will collaborate with various companies and stakeholders to deliver objective evaluations and support the ongoing enhancement of ESG practices.This is a remote position, open to full-time and part-time applicants,
with a focus on supporting inclusivity for mobility-challenged individuals or persons with disabilities and persons from marginalized communities.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist companies in completing the certification process (85%)ESG Assessment Review: Accurately analyse and review companies' ESG and social/environmental performance data and documentation.
Validate assessment responses using the ESG assessment platform, supporting documentation, and site review processes.Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary contact for companies, including CEOs, founders, or sustainability project managers, throughout the certification or recertification process.
Communicate standards, timelines, and certification requirements effectively and professionally.Customer Service: Provide quality support, guiding companies through the ESG certification process, including compliance with legal frameworks.
Guide companies through the B Corp Legal Framework and legal requirements for certification.
Offer actionable suggestions for improving companies' ESG impact, when applicable.Project Management: Manage account pipeline and project timelines for 20+ companies simultaneously in the certification process.
Provide concrete suggestions for companies to improve their ESG impact, when applicable.Technical Support: Deliver basic technical assistance to companies using ESG assessment tools and BIA platforms.
Draft proposals for recommendations.Real-time Updates: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in platforms such as Salesforce and the ESG assessment app.Contribute to improvements that advance the B Lab Global (15% of Role)Provide constructive feedback to improve certification processes and standards.Contribute to research initiatives for standards development.Represent the organization at conferences and industry events.Participate in professional development opportunities and collaborative initiatives with global teams.Qualifications and Experiences:Minimum of bachelor's degree in business, preferably in Sustainability, Social Sciences,
or Environmental Studies.2-3 years in a professional role with external-facing responsibilities, such as business development or public relations.
Preference will be given to candidates in roles related to ESG and sustainability.Skills:Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.Technological adeptness, with experience in platforms like Slack, Salesforce, Google Suite, and Microsoft Excel.Knowledge of cross-cultural communication skills.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
