**Principal responsibilitiesThis role is within the CCO WPB Operations team and is focused on DBS Payment Operations within Global Operations across multiple jurisdictions and regions.This role reports to the Global Head of CCO Payments Operations and has a local reporting line to the CCO Operations Regional Lead in the respective GSC.
This role is located within GSC.The core focus of the role is:- Supporting, advising and challenging Operations management to ensure that their risks are understood and well controlled.
The role includes analysing the performance of the control environment, performing end to end reviews, deep dive thematic reviews to identify weaknesses and designing new or modified controls to remediate these weaknesses.- Supporting the Operations CCO lead and the team to deliver the required support to Operations management.
Shoulder additional responsibilities beyond the region and support the team into becoming a much stronger team by sharing best practices, mentoring and coaching new staff etc.In addition to this, the role will support the evolution of the capability and toolset of the Chief Control Office (e.G.
develop more insightful forward-looking measures)
and support the transformation of CCO Operations through active engagement with Transformation team on automation projects and implementing cost effective controls to mitigate risk etc.
**Requirements**:Knowledge- Clear understanding of operational risk and how it is managed- Knowledge of large scale business processes (within banking or other industries) and the risks inherent in these processesCapabilities- Intellectually curious and inquisitive- Able to analyse and interpret complex and varied information to generate insight - and then use this insight to develop concise and actionable conclusions and recommendations.- Able to develop creative solutions to difficult problems- Able to pro-actively identify and resolve issues with mínimal supervision- Strong relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills with experience of positive, challenging interactions with senior management
