for EE Lighting Validation is responsible for the execution and design development of truth tables, function maps, and vehicle function software implementation with lighting suppliers and the validation of the above.
This includes validation with EE plywood buck, EE HIL, and vehicle validation at our vehicle assembly plants.
Responsibilities include CO2 credits calculations for all vehicles for LED lamps for the regulatory affairs team, leading and managing development, integration, and validation of the signal lighting and EE system, managing internal and supplier lighting ECUs, interfacing with the body controller and EE team, and CAN and LIN communication.The engineer needs to support meetings throughout NA work hours and work closely with local engineering teams, Architecture/Vehicle Concepts, program science teams, and PDO to develop and launch exterior lighting components and overall systems.QualificationsBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent programMinimum 2 years of design, release,
and CAD packaging experienceExperience designing and developing large injection molded componentsExperience with injection molding, painting, and decorating plastic componentsRelease experience in both mechanical and electrical componentsAbility to work in a team environmentStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong leadership and interpersonal skillsComputer proficient (including spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, and database applications)Experience with OEM or supplier design and releaseExperience with Catia V5, NX, and TeamcenterExperience with DFMEA, DVP&R;, and validation plansPreferred QualificationsMasters degree in Electrical Engineering or related degreeWorking knowledge of designing for EMC and ESD design/preventionElectronics/electrical simulation experience, thermal management, electronic packaging,
