**Descripción y Requisitos**
- ** Product Engineering Management Experience. Fabrication and assembly products mainly. Extensive Product Engineering knowledge. Previous supervision and direction of a Product Engineering team.**:
- ** NPD and NPI extensive participation. Managerial roles in NPI preferred.**
**DeEscrituraion**:
- Provide leadership for the development and execution of new and innovative solutions for products produced in the Juarez campus. Directs the daily activities of product design, specification, development, prototyping, testing, and documentation.
Responsible for providing technical support and training to Juarez operations in coordination with product development teams. Works directly with Juarez manufacturing operations teams and sourced suppliers on projects and initiatives to achieve ‘best in class’ manufacturing cost performance. Collaborates in short term annual planning activities for product design in the ongoing life cycle management of products, packaging, services, and engineering infrastructure.- Provides leadership to the NPI team. Drives the NPI team to relentlessly push for flawless production launches**Responsibilities**:
- Engineering Infrastructure- Continuously improve and advance the technical and execution capability of the engineering team through skills, tools, training, systems, and process investment.
- Work in conjunction with the Corporate team to generate prototypes and define and prioritize product testing. Ensure optimal support to product development activities.
- Benchmark other local companies for improving overall proficiency and performance of the Product Engineering department.
**New Product Development**
- Supervisory oversite on all product related activities in Juarez to ensure a successful design for manufacturing, launch and execution of new products throughout the various phases of the NPD/NPI process.
- Responsible for providing input to overall preparation and continued maintenance of 3-year product roadmap with product engineering management.
- Support the development of new product technologies and work in conjunction with the Advanced Development team to ensure successful builds and validations.
- Participate in annual Technology Roadmap and stay up to date by participating in Technical Trade shows and transferring knowledge into engineering organization.
- Drive improvements in productivity and product features throughout areas of existing product designs utilizing new technologies that emerge where applicable (extrusion, webbing, fabrication, assembly, plastics).
- Drives and manages productivity projects based on product changes (VAVE). Defines a yearly plan and leads and coordinates execution.
**New Product Implementation**
- Supervisory oversite on all activities and deliverables in Juarez to ensure a flawless launch of New Product Introduction.
- Ensures communication of NPI project requirements, status, risk elevation and resolution to main stakeholders in Itasca and Juarez.
- Responsible of the functional areas adherence to the NPI procedures and implementation of Industries best practices
- Facilitates the fulfillment of the business needs for NPI by relentlessly pursuing compliance with Juarez and corporate key deliverables and metrics.
- Resolves conflicts between product management requirements and manufacturing facilities capabilities with a wholistic business approach.
**Other Duties**:- Understands and follows Quality Management System, Program Management.**Profile**:
- Grado académico: BSME o equivalente requerido; Preferiblemente MIPYME.
- **Experience**:
- Supervisory - 5+ years of Sr. Product Engineer/Team Lead/Supervisory responsibilities in a Product Engineering organization. 5+ years in NPI Engineer/Manager roles.
- Experience with diverse product portfolio required. Industry background where customer/end user safety and product liability, cost (material, manufacture/assembly, packaging), weight and time to market are key.
- Design and Development Capability - 10+ years of designing products for professional, hardware, or retail channels of distribution.
- Cross-functional activities - 10+ years of working with other functional members to have a good understanding of requirements to do each job (production, scheduling, inventory management, product design & testing, manufacturing processes).
- Talent development and people leadership and supervisory skills (direct and indirect).
- Interpersonal Skills - Ability to work well with all levels of the organization in a matrix environment to drive change
- Conocimiento técnico:
- Experience with metal and plastic materials, structural analysis, extrusion,
fabrication and joining for high volume production.
- Expertise in contemporary design and modeling/analysis tools; SolidWorks preferred
- 2D/3D CAD Intermediate level.
- Power Point Intermediate level.
- Excel Advance level.
