**Title**:Senior Engineer II

**Main Responsibilities**:
- Perform Structural analysis and MBS Analysis to support conceptual/preliminary/detailed design of systems and sub-systems of JDPS product programs using various analysis and simulation software.
- Independently or under guidance from more experienced engineers, prepare analysis approach for the desing problems/field failure issues, along with performance criteria,
by seeking all available information and using engineering principles.
- Perform hand calculations to verify the accuracy or to predict outcomes to increase confidence in results wherever applicable.
- Responsible for timelines of the projects executed individually and with the help of team members.
- Obtain correlation with field/experimental data when field/experimental data is available.
- Compile analysis results into a form that can be easily interpreted and understood by other stakeholders (Desing, Test, Product support).
- Schedule and lead analysis reviews to share results with desing & PV&V; engineers.
During these meetings, offer what insight they can provide in order to help solve problems.
- Propose feasible optimized design solutions to meet acceptance criteria and to improve cost, weight targets.
- Responsible for timelines of the projects executed individually and with the help of team members.
**What Skills You Need**:
- Prior experience with any of the following FEA modeling tools: Hypermesh, Ansys WB.
- Prior experience with any of the following FEA solvers: Optistruct, Abaqus, Ansys WB, Nastran.
- Experience with Metal Fatigue & Durability Assessment of Engine / Machine Structures.
- Conduct simulation-based design explorations and communicate recommendations for new product introduction programs as well as current product improvement programs.
- Knowledge in engineering principles, theory, and practice as well as basic product knowledge of I.C.
Engines.
- Good Communication skills to collaborate with various engineering groups such as design and PV&V.;
**What Makes You Stand Out**:
- Experience in working as a part of Cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated examples of driving design changes through Analysis & Simulation.
- Experience with Topology & Topography optimization techniques.
- Experience in developing or improving analysis procedures.
- Experience with Test correlation and Test Data Analysis.
Exposure to any of the test data analysis tools such as nCode, FE-Safe would be an added advantage.
- Experience with any of the scripting languages would be an added advantage: Python, VB, MATLAB.
**Education**:
- Bachelor´s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or Master´s Degree in Science Engineering.
